Thread: Was I wrong when I tipped dancers?
But, if anyone thinks being a Dancer pays well, you're sadly mistaken. I've gotten some great tips.. while on Dathomir. But, most of my money has been made running missions with a group of people out in the scary world that is not a Cantina. If you want money and want to be a dancer, be prepared to supplement your dance skills with some other profession that pays. If you don't want to be a combat person, look towards artisan something. Tailor compliments Dancer well from what I've seen, and you can make good money from all the other poor dancers.
Me... I'm sticking with Carbinier to make me money.
Almost no one is free of AFK experience. It always happens. You may be mind buffing and the phone rings, or you smell your dinner burning, or something like that.
And what REALLY pisses me off is how when I was on Dathomir running missions, I had my Master Dancer title up, and came back into town. A whole crowd of people started asking "can you heal my bf/mind wounds." I was like "sure" so I went into the Tavern and started dancing like crazy. I was the only one in there dancing, and there were like 10-15 people in there watching me. Keeping in mind that I had my MASTER title up, so they knew that XP did me nothing, how many tips do you think I got? That's right. ZERO. None of the 15 people crammed in there thought it was worth their time to tip me. I was SO pissed. Next time, I may be a **edit** and demand up-front payment for big groups like that if NO ONE is going to tip a MASTER. I was even at the keyboard, talking and making jokes and stuff.
It's really a shame. I like it when there's only one person in there, so long as they're interesting. Some of my most interesting RPing (which I almost never do) was 1-on-1 in a Dathomir Tavern with an Imp who was there for Dead-Eye, while I was a Rebel there for Dead-Eye.
It's alwaysthe people who I wouldn't MIND not getting tips from (cause they're fun/cool) are the ones who tip me the highest, and the ones who are losers (l337ers, mutes) who don't tip.
