Oh boo freaking hoo. Now you can't get your buff from a buff bot and might actually have to talk to another person to get it. Here you might need these.

Sorry Folks, this didn't make it into this mornings publish but it will be in tomorrow's.
Once again this is a majoy issue. It was announced that it was coming today. The vast majoriy of the players are losing hope. If it is sincerely ready shut down the servers and push it to live now.

Now, to get things back on topic...
I tested the latest patch last night on TC. As of then, all forms of passive buffing was working, for both dance and music, and regardless of the order of /stoplisten or /stopwatch.
Simultaneous active (/setperformed) buffs were still breaking the dance buff if /stoplisten was invoked before the /stopwatch though.
So... two bugs fixed, one to go!

I tried both a passive dance and music buff today on sunrunner and neither one worked

I'm getting odd reports of it working for some people and not for others, then it starting to work again.
"Perhaps," people need to get a Music Buff first to clear out some buff coding, then dance buffs work. Don't have a lot of info collection yet, but that seems to be the case.

Hi fellas, I'm sorry to see that the dancing buffs remain broken yet another day
.
Maybe this can be a boon, to let people realize that live buffers can do something buff-bots can't for a change
.
As a personal plea, pleasetake whatTiggs or any other official SOE postsays with a grain of salt... I work as a software developer, and I have a good idea of how this kind of system works. Tiggs ismostly justa PR front to attempt to put out fires with the player community. Have you ever noticed that there is almost zero correlation betweenour requests to Tiggs and SOEand the actual fixes and other goings-on in the game? It's NOTthat Tiggs is insincere or because anybody isn't trying. It's just the way capitalistic software development works. At the end of the day, the only things that show up on the report cardare the number of "fixes" (whether successful or not), the server downtime, the number of times they had to "revert" to previous versions, and the number of times players complained so badly that it hit the press. Truly fixing dance buffs does not serve any of thesefour criteria, and that's why it hasn't been a priority for the devs. Entertainers are too nice to complain rudely enough to triggercatastrophe
. And even when entertainer stuff HAS been a priority for the devs, their QA system is so messed up that it takes a long time for them to actually get things working on the live servers.
I do encourage you, however, to keep voicing your opinions-- they DO count, even with the devs
. Just please don't hang on the words of Tiggs or any other SOE dev posting here. Look at the action, not the words.
