personally, I've always hated dancing next to the doors because of the stupid sound it makes when it slides open and closed. But I agree, I've always hated running into a cantina and being frozen by lag the second I get in the door. Just cos someone can see you first doesn't mean you'll be the first one they watch.

Dancing and performing should be limited to the main room of the cantina. That is what it is for. The mob of people inside the entrance of the Coronet cantina on Corbatis has gotten pretty damn bad. Many of us are now entering through the back door because of this.

I have to agree here, a few days ago I was even able to dance in coronet with a few friends because the main room was only filled with one group of live entertainers and all the afks stood at the entrance. As long as you take the backdoor to get in and out and don't read spatial, it's almost like they aren't even there. At the same time I have to agree that SOE once again didn't do us a favor with the way to become jedi...

hehe, i so agree. i really don't like how it fills up in that doorway. i usually dance in the cantina or in that little alcove you see when you are in the cantina on the platform.
one day a fellow dancer and i had a group of about 15. we were all inside the main room. there were 6 afkers at the doorway. group leader and i and 2 others went up there to keep them from getting the healing xp that we were all trying so hard to get.
but if i had my choice i'd dance in the alcove or the main room.
oh and this is a gamewide issue. not servrer specific cause i'm on ahazi and it's just sick there in coro and theed

don't even get started on the AFKers.
afk dancing..fine whatever. but spamming afk is a different story. was only harassing You because Your a friend. and You know how i feel about that.

Should be able to walk in and starting dancing..honestly if You've been to clubs there's a dance floor, not everyone crowded at the enterence..cantinas should be the same way.

do agree but in all seriousness how is this to be stopped? perhaps make the entrance a no-healing zone - dancing up there does nothing for healing of BF and mind wounds?

I don't think making the entrance a no-dance (or no-healing or whatever) zone would make that much of a difference, the people/bots currently camping the front door would just move to the border of said zone - like today just moved about 10m.
Some players even told me they like the AFKers being there, they just run to the main area before the AFKers even load

really wierd ... was dancing away happily in Theed last night and decided to run off to get a stamina buff - in the entrance there were absolutely no afk dancers whatsoever! Very odd ... but then there was no-one buffing outside the starport either, so I think yesterday can be written off as an anomaly

They stand in the doorway because doctors can target them from outside and apply buffs and heal wounds thus speeding up the down time between fights. You can also go a little bit outside and still heal up from the entertainer. It would be nice if they made it possible to heal BF and wounds anywhere with the use of a droid or other aperatus and this would eliminate the doorway crowd and put the afk'ers at the starport with the rest of the mindless zombies who are spamming crap.
