Snow!! *claps happily* That was one of my favorite things on EQ, sitting in Everfrost or Eastern Wastes...enjoying the snow and friends.
Going to take the babies to see 'Polar Express' next week during the Thanksgiving break, thanks for the tip! We have been looking forward to this for a bit, as its been a Christmas Eve reading staple for a bit now.
You are so right about the "look" of this game. I have EQ and love my people dearly, but can't bring myself to play there anymore since they don't look "real" like Oqua, Tryna and Katya. One of my favorite memories: Taewyn and I playing in the middle of the night when we first got the game, watching him set up camp. Sitting by the fire and marveling at the flickering flame under the starry sky was amazing to me. *warm smile*. I never thought a game could be this beautiful.
Commenting on your last point, the "try to please everyone".....thats what my Taewyn says is wrong with this game. *small smile* Hopefully though its fixable.

Course I think snow is pretty in November and December.
Wait until February. I'll be cursing it roundly and a few steps away from suicide.

Friday night, ingame, Roho mentioned that it was snowing up there. "Cold, white, fluffy stuff falling from the sky - sure looks like snow."That blew me away! "How cool is THAT?", was my response! Of course, I'm from the sunny South where we might get 2 dustings of snow in the winter if we are really, really good little Georgians.
I'm going to make the most of this upcoming holiday season! If for no other reason than it could really bum me out thisyear,if I let it. The kidlet and I are going to pull out the decorations Thanksgiving weekend and start the season off as festive as possible! I think Kirah and Shianne will start wearing a lot of red and green, too!

I've been pondering Javier's post this morning. I thought of my favorite interaction in SWG (besides the wonderful entertainers and customers) and thought of the animals with their exclamation marks and question marks above their head when you approach. I've always gotten a kick how sometimes they will run away, while other times they will approach for investigation...
Thanks for the Imax tip, I shall listen to that and see it there this weekend hopefully...
One thought I have about the correspondents leaving is simply either EQ2 or WOW, much like the majority of the player base. My guild on Lowca was 30 active members, now is down to four who are staying in SWG.
Snow, I love snow...We are still a couple months away before we will start to see it where I live, but there is something comforting about it.

I want snow too, badly. Every time I bring it up I hear "well, if we ever put in Hoth." So I always say, "so, when are you putting in Hoth?" Whoever I'm talking to always says "well, when I'm in charge..." Heh, the funny thing is, even the guy in charge *cough*Tyrant*cough* talks like this. Devs are so silly.
Anyway, yeah, I love that the flags flap harder in a storm... even in dust storms on Tat! So cool.
Happy Monday! /pinch javier

That reminded me Geddy, of a screenie my husband took ages ago. He was playing music in a camp (ages ago) and was systematically surrounded by a spawn of durnies. There were about 8 of them just sitting around in a circle staring at him while he played.

I can't tell you how many times I watched the sunset or sunrise in this game. Unfortunately though sunrises and sunsets aren't worth $15 a month.

Coincidence? Earlier today an RL friend and me were comparing SWG and WoW and how the world in SWG seems much more dynamic just because little animals will get scared (\|/) when you get close. It's also great how they modeled ecological niches that are filled with similar animals on different worlds (ignoring the "renamed" creatures for a second).
Btw, some mountaintops on Corellia and Lok look a bit like if there were snow, especially by night. It'd be fun to throw snowballs and build snow-twi'lek ingame

Dathora and I took The Green Machine (My yacht) over tothe Endor systemto sit and watch the stars and um... *cough*. After we fond a nice place to park away from the jump point, we went up the observation deck, and just sat and watched Endor and it's moon. It was absolutely glorious. You could see the weather paterns on the moon slowy shift and change, watch as the world churned on in it's rotation ... And the Sun. You could watch as the glint of the sun's reflection slowly crept up and down along the outer edge as the "day" progressed. It was really awe inspiring...

Another thing I found amazing is the beach. The waves stretching up on shore and the sounds were just to luring for me, it was a site to behold and to beautiful for meto continue on my missions. It was a night to walk barefoot on the sand and dance in the water and that's just what I did.

This is the most amazing world I've ever lived in. And there is something truly wonderful about the animals. Before I realized that my left brain had a better chance of paying the bills than my right brain, I worked at a museum where part of my job was doing illustrations and taxidermy..if the eyes don't look "right" no one will ever believe it is real. The SWG wildlifehave such wonderful eyes.
