Ok first - Yuck! Sirii please, can we not have some nicer analogies, lol?

Second - I'm guessing you are talking about BF here as the removed section and not Mind Wounds/Buffing, but the problem with this is - what was BF?

To some of us, it was healing. To some of us, it was a service. To some of us, it was an advanced vehicle to allow and promote social interaction discreetly while encouraging RP and immersion into a world with a simulation of reactions to living arts and entertainment experiences.

The Devs have said it was not these things though... and the important thing to remember is that they were saying this when we still had it!

They said things like "BF is just a reward for Social Players", "Entertainers are not supposed to take part in gameplay with heavy mechanics... if that's what people are asking for they are playing the profession incorrectly, it's not meant to be power gamed", and my personal favorite "Dancers aren't meant to be functional."

There was no room to grow, no way to ask for improvements, and no leg to stand on bringing up the issues with AFKers and Bots because by their definitions, there was no problem with letting someone set up an Av to do these things AFK... because these things we could do were not considered to have any real impact on gameplay and game balance.

Now, the Mind duties we had were a boo boo for that reason - they did have an impact it turned out due to imbalances elsewhere, but it wasn't intended and that's how we finally got some Dev sympathy for our Bot woes.

BF though? It was one sided, empty, and unimportant by design. It always was these things, it was meant to be. The new buffs are an attempt to take the best things that worked for us from both BF and the Mind Duties as social mechanics. Is it everything we've ever wanted? No. Are they everything we ever could have hoped to gain by improving our oldBF and Mind duties? Yeah, and then some.

You're wanting more though, you're wanting what we almost felt like we had on and off in the early days, but this BF thing and anything like it has pretty much been played out. Think of other things that they can try to reward our playstyle with... and think of ways to do it cheaply. Don't cry for BF, we have the basic things it did for us still... and none of us ever seemed to really "get it" in full the way the Devs claimed it was supposed to work. If we did, we would have alsoall been oki dokie with the Bots, 200cr missions, and no new content ever.

A little shift in the thinking of our design was a good thing. We should roll with it and push for more new ways to reward social players actively instead of just mulling over the things that have already been tried.

It's been deleted. Now my curiosity is aroused... but no, don't say it. The thread was deleted. Let it rest in peace.

Update on the link in original message. The "i can make a macro" individual must not have succeeded! /cheesy cabbage patch dance. He has not been heard from since a few of you here and a few strong supporters of ent on Shadowfire spoke up. I'm crossing my fingers that bots will truely stay a thing of the past.

You had my last reply deleted, but suffice it to say we shouldn't roll with it. We should ask them to scrap this proven failure of a role, and go back to ground that made sense.
Me and other entertainers aren't "buying it." We are quitting.

lets get this straight:

I reported the thread. don't try to go on dragging panthu into this one.

the posts are rude and contains personal attacks, which is why I reported it. I don't care if you were trying to make a point, it was rude. apparently the forum mods agreed... is it not possible to talk about ideas like civilized people?
