I don't know about removing the Jedi ability. ButI mean really fix the bugs with communication with your pets. Make it so that maybe the longer you own a pet/more xp with that pet/ Master CH so that it would then be like a 3% chance that they would get it to work on your pet and even then you could quickly fix it. *sigh* But I'm sure stuff like that has been tossed around over and over again on the CH forums.

I hate having an Us vs. Them attitude towards the devs, but you know what. They respond to only two things. Coddling and uproar. We've tried coddling, now it's time for some uproar. We do pay these "developers" after all...

I'm shocked and saddened by your report of the state of the dancer profession. I confess that this is new to me. I usually only visit the boards for my own professions, Creature Handler and Rifleman, but only because of lack of time. I hadn't realized just how badly the hologrinding hordes and the buffbots had affected the dancers. And now to hear that the jedi are usurping your main role in the game is mindboggling. What can the devs be thinking? Rather than create a system of professions that require interdependence, as they claim is their intention, they are creating a game where there will be only 1 profession--jedi.

I think your suggestion of prohibiting AFK healing is sensible. I don't think it fair for entertainers who actually play the game and who give it a much needed social flavor should be hindered by those who just want to grind it as quickly as possible. A smaller number of dedicated entertainers who have a significant role in the game and who know how to fulfill that role with imagination would improve the game greatly. Hopefully, the elimination of hologrinding is the first step to correcting some of these problems.

I, for one, promise never to get my healing from an AFK entertainer again.

Our profession really is one of the most unbalanced at the moment, and though it is difficult to be compassionate about other players issues when we have so many game breaking problems of out own, I can appreciate why CH's would be upset with this development. We have been waving our hands around futilely over the problems entertainers encounter for months and months without even the slightestflicker of dev interest in our boards. It's not like we have a lot of infuence on what occurs in the game or anything, but for what its worth, you have my support as well
