Has anyone contacted a buffbot and had success? I would imagine they don't care what the other entertainers think.
The only buffbot that I've contacted was the one in my OWN guild ![]()
The player was understanding, at least, and moved the bot out of the cantina. It's still played 23/7 though...

Yes, I've gotten into contact with an AFK buff on several occasions. Once, to find out her new location. And second, she responded to me to let me know she banned someone who was holding her "hostage". I was the one that turned in the "hostage taker"

I own and run the cantina in the city I live in on Kauri. A couple months ago, a new PA joined the city and with them came a buffbot. She sent out emails to the entire city saying she was set up each day and night in her house to buff people. I was so upset! I immediately sent emails to her and the mayor stating that I really didn't want to see that sort of behaviour in the city ... especially since I'm always around to buff!
What I was very pleased about was that she apologized immediately and said she didn't know there was a Master Dancer in the city.
Now she's in the band I'm starting!

YOU go to player city! I am here to make money. There isn't anyone in lonely player city. So I'd appreciate it if you go**** yourself. Thanks!

I did contact oneonce and did so very politely.. The reply was such that I cant even write it in here. . But it started offalong the lines of:
"Hey $*&^^$&*% (female derivitive) go find a stick and shove it up your (*&
(& ^% (certain female anatomy) you *&^&* (generalized derogatory noun). And when you're done go *+#@! (sexual verb)monkees."
It went on like that for 2 paragraghs. The only part that was not obscene was the obligatory...
"I Pay my money like everyone else and I'll do whatever the hell I want to."
Some of the obscenities I've received in response to politely asking buffbots to not do so while there were live dancers working were QUITE creative. I'd share some of them if this werent a public forum.

I e-mailed a buffbot to askhim to please step off the stage whenhe wentafk in our player city's cantina. His only reply was:
"why?"
I responded with the explaination that the live entertainerswould like that area reserved for performances. He never responded to my second e-mail, nor did he or his healer-probot leave the middle of the stage.

It is good to be mayor.
Since that incident, the cantina owner has started banning them from the cantina.

my 2 entertainers cant do anything cause of Buffbots...you guys know who you are.....on Wanderhome and Flurry....
It really made me mad when a certain buffbot on Flurry stepped on my toes by crafting instruments and selling them for nothing on the bazaar knowing full well that I had a store for it and he knows my displeasure for him. I mean 10 Narlagons for 100 credits each....that doesnt even justify the resources usage. I had to close up my store cuase everyone was buying 100 credit master made instruments. Thats what kills me. People run to the buffbots and get buffed and say they tip but most run off. Hell I have done stat migrations for people that run off without tipping. There goes 10 minutes of my time. Thanks a lot.
Anyways the devs said last year that they are going to do something about AFKing entertainers. Still waiting. While we are waiting I refuse to play characters that will have no interaction with the jobs in which they are masters of. It makes no sense for me to try and buff someone when there are 3 master buffbots 2 feet from me afk tossing out the free buffs. Nobody comes to me anymore cause they can get a free ride over there instead of sitting and talking to me. Its very sad.
I miss my store.

I usually kick the person out of the cantina. if it happens again then he/she gets banned from the cantina. if their attitude was bad then I cityban.
we have signs on the stage saying no afk there... apparently lots of people can't read O.o

Ohh I was planning on doing more then slapping... I am going to take that cantina away from him. I will then hunt him down till I find his next cantina and do the same there. I am currently working on a few alias macros to "slap" him with.
