oh, that was a great laugh at the end of a 12-hour shift.
not even for the 500k-1 mil a day would I lower my intergrity to be a spam bot for someone. I don't need money that badly.

Hehe, quite a funny thread really, if you manage to ignore the depressing undertones.
But anyway Gifford, I'm sure nobody here wanted to flame you personally, from the point of view of a merchant it's only normal to look for advertising possibilities. It's just that the fact you came here to ask that question in the first place speaks volumes about how this game has turned out (and not just regarding entertainers, but also spammers as well).

fair enough
very valid.
its not spamming if its a message at the end of ur routine in groupchat (once every 3 mins), its an advertisement, my barker droid spams, what i was proposing was a method of sponsership but anyway doesnt matter, i'll get it all sorted anyway after all its all about money

You all really didn't know that 90% of bots are ad bots as well as buffbots?
I take 'em off my ignore lists periodically to see what they're up to.
It's kind of like you're considered among the "elite" crafters if you can get one of the main bots to ad for you.

Heh, no I didn't know.
I /addignore ALL buffbots and spammers the instant I see them spamming. Including the "hired shouters" that run around spamming ads for merchants.I just target "IT" and add "IT" to my ignore list. If it was a spam for a shop location I also add that info to my "black book" of shops I will never go to or crafters I will never place an order with.
I've never used a buffbot or AFKer so I don't know what they may be spamming in their little group chats. Only ones I've ever seen before I could get them ignored are the ones barking in spatial. I also wish every day I could addignore barker droids too.
