A group of entetainers put on a show in the Theed theatre tonight and offered free buffs to encourage people to attend. I thought that was a great idea, but someone countered with a droid parked in front of the cantina called "Free Buffs".

With offers like "Free Buffs" you don't have to go on strike.

Exactly. Like you, I have no problem giving an occsional free buff for RP reasons or to promote something. There was a wookie outside the Theed starport a few weeks ago who was giving free doctor buffs as part of a full scale promotion being offered by his guild to promote his guild. Nothing wrong with that. We've all gone into a store to get a 2 for 1 special. Most of us have gone to a free charity based fair. This all makes sense to me. But, someone who is just giving away free buffs all of the time because he/she doesn't care about our profession and only has a "mule" as a way to avoid having to interact with other people or spending some of their own in game money is just inconsiderate, rude, and detrimental to our profession. We need to be just as useful as the next guy, and we need a way to make money too.

Do you know, I find it rather sad that people would sooner plunk down $50 to buy a second copy of the game, plus 15 a month, to avoid having to part with 3k credits IN game to get a mind buff from one of us REAL entertainers. I'm all about having alts... I have three accounts myself!... but not for purposes like this.

While I will never understand how anyone can play more than one character because I just always have too freaking much to do with the one I have, I don't see a problem with people having alts if they want them. But, I see where you're coming from here. It's not like I'm poor or anything. But, sheesh, the thought of spending $30 or $45 or $60 a month on just this one game so that you don't have to interact with other people just seems strange to me.

lets go on strike til we get what we want. NO MORE SLICING NO MORE DRUGS NO MORE OPENING CONTAINERS NO MORE SELLING FACTIO POINTS. maybe if we completely stop doing what we do will other players realize the stuff we do and back us up for once. how many times have you said slicing is completely random and yet they still complain to no end i wanted damage, i wanted a slice in the 30's using all your best stuff. i like being a smuggler even though i don't depend on it for money and now i can't even feign death in pvp combat ? what else can they take from us? the low blow shot isn't all that good and either is the health shot. we

FD in PVP was a crap shoot already without a group to protect you, you risked being shot till you were black bared and your armor was danggling by smoldering threads.... now unless you have a group to protect you your gona get a DB....hmmm id rather risk the DB than a complete loss of my armor and have to spend 3 hours healing up from black bar while some wet behind the ears rookie medic tries to heal me.

as for striking....why nothing we do is in any way essential to the game or other players. they wouldnt miss us!! Hell I dont miss us we havent actualy had any REAL impact on the game since launch.

I purpose a strike to the imbalance of bh vs jedi. If a bh attacks you no matter how newb he is or how ub3r he is regardless of group size walk away and REFUSE to fight, and when they call you names and talk trash say i am on strike to the imbalance of the bh/jedi system.

And how is that going to keep him from just killing you anyway as you try to "walk away"?

Well most instances bh's are melee. And are incapable of killing a jedi unless they have a gank squad and the jedi still has the choice to run/walk depending on circumstances. It is more of the point behind it some jedi have to run for there life no matter what but i guess i am more reffering to the strike for the jedi who are capable of fighting back and winning. I know i fight bh's more than i should see the screenshot in my sig of amel and ke for example this is after the gank squad support 4 on 1. I shouldn't have fought 2 tks 2 pistoler bh's with bomb droids but i did i won and they contiue to come again and again and again.

If we refuse to fight for the fact that bh's are encouraged to gank us one at a time. We will simply not fight we will let them chase us and that will be there combat. And maybe we might actually get something that we deserve and thats not to be griefed.

Unfortunately I enjoy killing them too much, therefore I cannot participate.
