Thread: Theatrical 2 bug?

Approximate xp earned while dancing Theatrical: ~300 XP (and I have over 500 XP from "regular" dancing)
Approximate date that you began dancing Theatrical: In march (roughly)
Please help me get this...and everyone else...

The system will still count your Theatrical xp when your xp is capped. Unless you just want to keep up with it yourself, there is no need to drop boxes and use up xp.

Any new word on this ever getting fixed? Kinda tired of being told, "Check the forums or with other players," and, "This is an intended feature, any other information would be considered a spoiler," After 800K+ xp in Theatrical alone. (I stopped keeping track. Why bother? If I capped twice, and still can't get it.)
Been trying so long, and finally danced other dances last night. I forgot I had them. Was real fun. People wandered by wondering why I was dancing Tumble in the middle of a street. I no longer care about this great new dance I don't get. I am no longer going to keep track of my xp for it. I will cap (again) today. But it wont be from Theatrical xp.

Nothing new on this. I'm hoping they'll surprise us by sneaking it through or something. But to be very honest with you; there are some very major bugs on live right now which really do need to take priority. I'm not saying this to downplay the importance of this one to dancers but because, frankly, there are some bugs right now that really are gamebreakers for some professions.
I'll go ahead and tell you; personally, I haven't danced Theatrical2 much at all. The base of Theatrical transitions better and is more fun. The one time that I've had a director say he wanted Theatrical in a vid, he selected the first one after looking at them both. His reasoning was that it was cuter and more thematic.

I am a long time master dancer and am capped on dancing xp. However, I am dancing theatrical for the first time during this double xp period so I can learn theatrical 2. Is there any way I can find out how much xp I have earned toward this goal? Or do I just have to keep running to the npc who teaches it, hoping that I've earned enough xp? Any help anyone can offer is appreciated!

You just have to keep track of it. However, unfortunately, the counter for Theatrical 2goes by the base xp gain only and does not count the multiplier for double xp periods.

I think what Esherra means is that while you will get double danceing XP while doing Theatrical, the game will still be counting theTheatrical XP at the single XP rate. So you will need to dance it for the same ammount of time regardless of the XP modifier the server has on at the current time.

On my FS char that has Theatrical, I didn't make a village trip during the time I was working on Theatrical xp (I'm not actively pursuing Jedi..sometimes I forget to turn in xp for weeks at a time) so I can't tell you that it does or does not. However, in theory, turning in xp shouldn't affect the Theatrical counter.

actually ... I have a seperate bug on this one ... I got the 100K xp and got the pop up box ... but when I went to talk to the theatre manager she had nothing to say to me

and ummm I earned the 100K ... and am maxed on dance xp now after that .. This was all pre CU and right around CU that I got the 100K xp and box.
