Still, I think a huge amount of players will go to the quickest and easiest way to get what they want. I could not name a single player cantina that might have live entertainers on corbantis. Not because there isn't one, but because the advertising is just not there. I just plain don't know where one might be.

The reality is that we don't gather to provide any services anymore. We gather to have fun. We move around to various locations and party. Often it is after we have all done the other things we enjoy like hunting, GCW, etc. As an example a friend held a party in his PA/cantina Saturday evening and we had probably 20 entertainers there. Last night a group of 6 gathered outside the lake retreat at an event pavilion a friend put up. Last week on several evenings 4 to 10 people gathered at various cantinas around Naboo. We simply don't care to compete with the bots anymore and enjoy entertaining for the community and friendship.

I was a huge champion of live entertaining and spent many, many hours trying to provide live services. I also gathered a good following of customers but I also ignored my guild and long time friends in the process. Corbantis doesn't have the rampant bot problems some servers have but it is growing and personally I don't want to spend my play time trying to be a live bot. So I now spend my time with my guild, my friends, and my lady and let the combatants fend for themselves. I'm TK and Musician so I can repair any damage I acquire while dealing out a fair amount on my own. They don't want me and I don't need them so we are even.

I'm sorry but that is the reality, the active entertainer community on Corbantis has decided to enjoy what we do regardless of the rest of the server. To do that we have had to remove ourselves from the public for the most part because fun is far more important than any silly battles over how others don't play a game.

Oh and Imaji you continue to dance for the same reason I play music, because we love doing that together.

I gotta tell ya, live entertaining is much more fun without the endless spam. I am all against buffbots obviously, but as Elwyn said, I also spent a lot of time trying to keep up with the anti buffbot movement. One of my friends or I was always the group leader in theed and afk got you kicked out of the group. But you can only do it for so long. About a month ago prolly 10 of us from that group took a well needed break. So far I am the only one back. We are all masters and don't need the xp, but anyone commited to actually PLAYING the game instead of letting the macros do the work is welcome in my book.
So if you are looking for ATK ents, check the player cantinas and whatnot. Much better chance of finding em. There used to be an ent channel, but I don't think anyone uses it. Good luck and thanks for the good work trying to help out the entertainer community at large with your donations of self injury. It may not be sane, but please keep hurting yourself for the good of others ^_^

I am a live entertainer On Naritus server, I am usually on early In the day... est...or late at night... I am Not afk.

I Play eq2 during Most of the day, for the Hunt, for levelling etc... And come to SWG to socialize. I have NO interest in being a Jedi, I do wish to be a Master dancer.

Fact is, I was Master ID 2 years ago, and stopped playing SWG after the Holcron Giveaway, the game went to hell.

I recently got EQstation access, to get eq2, and eq, and found I get SWG for free, so I Put On My Leotard, and started dancing at the Theed cantina.

I remember the fun of 20 entertainers on all at once, I remember the fun of stopping My dance to do some Image design. I remember doing Exotic 2 for some Guys On planet from some out of the way place, Like Dathomir. I remember the entertainer community. I remember Guilds made up of JUST entertainers.

I don't want to believe it is dead. I want to believe that players do not want to interact with Buff Bots. I conciderred for a sad moment hangimg up My leotard, taking up some armor, and Joining in the " play in a vaccuum" society that SWG is becoming, then I rememberred, I have EQ2 for that. I came back to naritus for community. Unfortunately, whether dancing exists as a player profession is not up to the dancers, it is entirely up to the Fighters. If you support Bots, By going to them, do Not cry when you do NOT see players dancing. Why would a Plyer dance when everyone supposrts the Buff Bots? It may seem Like a vicious cycle, But...If Entertainers see people going into a cantina and saying " Buff me" and treating real people rudely, why would they keep playing dancers? I applaud all of you that want to support us entertainers, But the Only way to make the Buffbots go away, is to Boycott them. If there is No money in it, they will go away. And the Only one that have the power to boycott, do not, because they are convenient. They are always there. They never tire. But....they are macroed.

I am willing to keep dancing, and I encourage others to do the same, come to Theed cantina, join me... No Bots there... None that I have seen... we need to start somewhere.

I'm glad you're back however, as soon as live entertainers start to gather in force at a static city the buffbots will show up. It is unavoidable. We kept them out of theed on Corbantis for quite awhile, but in the end it was just too hard to deal with the fighters being rude, the random spam and the buffbots taking everyones attention. Now I perform with my friends just for the love of it. When bots are gone I will recolonize a static cantina. Untill then i'll stick with player cities and Tyrena, just because I love Tyrena with a passion that will never die.
