Looks like merely an example to me that might or might not have anything to do with what they have planned. I just hope the Dev in question doesn't get into any sort of internal trouble for mentioning us in connection with anything resembling content.

Well that IS encouraging.

Sort of balances the depression I was feeling about the apparent departure of Gordon Walton (aka SOETyrant).

Not to sound negative (but that's how it will come out anyway), it's not content until we at least have something In Concept to look at. What was mentioned in the chat is just a thought. While it's nice that entertainer professions at least got mentioned as being included, I find myself firmly in the "I'll believe it when I see it" mindset.

Cancelled 7/27/05 - I joined to play Star Wars, not Jedi-BH Wars. You've ignored/gutted/abused just about every other profession in the game, while spending most of your time working on Jedi and BH as they related to Jedi. You've basically killed the game for anyone who doesn't want the glowstick. Congratulations.

"Once and Future Tyrant" is the appellation Gordon currently applies to himself, a playful take-off on his nickname, "Tyrant", and his current status, which is between projects.

sraySOE - One of the things we are wanting to do with questing is to provide different roles for different professions within the quest itself.

So, the mix of professions you have in your group provide different solutions for what is going on

For instance, you are faced with a locked door, if you have a Smuggler, might be able to slice it, if you have a commando, she might be able to blast it down and if you have an entertainer, she might be able to charm the key from a guard!

/boggle Entertainers actually in a group out in the field working to advance the team??? I feel like Taylor when he sees the Apes riding on horseback....

Let's just hope that if this ever gets implemented it won't be like performing for the Theater Quest or I'll hear no end of it when I fail to charm the key from the guard.

Color me completely stunned.
