Thread: Exotic and Exotic2 dance
After reading and taking Sultrina's advice (she is truely a Grand Master Dancer**hugs to you Sultrina**) I have been able to make a fair job of translating from one exotic to another. It all has to deal with timing and the fact a couple flos are the same from dance to dance. As long as you watch and are ready for when the base step or flo ends you can do a decent transition. (Lei shakes her head here for not having tried these transitions months ago.) As far as a macro goes.....it wouldn't be hard to write....but I dont think it would be subtle enough to take in the delicate timing needed....still having no skill point left and maxed on just about all the xp i can get, I do have a lot of time on my hands. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

Hey can anyone share amacro that switches nicely through the exotics? ....
Wow! so many people took the time to try this so I'm going to share another secret. I try not to post my rountines so peple will devlop their own, but the transition from exotic 4 back to 1 is a little tricky so I'll explain a little about it. As I mentioned in the "Acadamy" base dances are not interupted by flourishes. Flourishes ride on top of them. So the base dance is allways running wich means hteir timing will not change. Ok here is the thing the timming doesnt change for any of your base dances they all will pick up their cycle where you left off in the old base dance if you do a /changedance. The short version of all this is if you switch between exotic 4 and 1 you will notice that when you are at a certain part of the exotic 4 base dance you will also be at a certain part of exotic 1. Now exotic 1 spends half its time with the arms up and alf with them down. So your first mission (should you choose to accept it) is to find wich "part" of exotic 4's base dance ties to the "arms up" part of exotic 1. Thats th first step, you will also note that part of the exotic 1 base dance "arms up" part looks like you will fall over any moment. So you need to fidn the part that looks good just before you drop your arms and Vola! you can lower your arms and start your routine again.

Using Sultrina's tips on exit cues I managed a nice transition from Exotic3 to Exotic4, I think it was on flourish three where I changed dances just as the flourish was about to end. My dancer broke into the third flourish of Exotic4 right away without changing position.
Yes yes, right in Ex3 where you have the arms in the air at the end of the flourish and the little belly roll........you can slide right into Ex4 beautifully if you hit the keys right. It takes a little practice but it really works well.
I avoid Exotic1 just because I don't like it, and 2-3-4 transition well with some luck and practice.
Yes, it's very disapointing that exotic 1-4 only get 2 flos and flo 4 is the same for all of them. But there are other things you can do to keep it interesting by switching your dances, do some light shows, smoke bomb and do a quick change of clothes. The dance still looks good inbetween flos also. And the flos we do have are great IMO!!
But I wouldn't mind and extra flo or 2.
