You have to be a Master Musician or Dancer or Chef to place the thing, and I doubt the devs want to deal with transfers to people who don't meet those requirements.
We tested out a similar situation with Merchant tents. When my Master Merchant friend tried to xfer his tent to me, it said "You must have Effeciency IV to own this structure!" or something along those lines.

Also, even now on Live, you can't easily transfer ownership of a house; you have to re-deed.
Not sure what you're referring to here? Just walk inside the house with the other player you want to xfer it to. Click to target them and type /transferstruct.

Hmm, I may be the only player in SWG who actually owns one.
Quick question here: in Plinka's Politician FAQ, it says that a Cantina takes up 5 lots, whiles a Theater takes up 3. Is this correct, or did she accidentally switch them? (It also says a Med Center takes up 3 lots). If these are the correct lot requirements, it seems very odd.
Ahemm.... is the question solved now? Do i have to STAY Master after placing? I mean, being Master dancer chews up 2 trees on entertainer and a whole mastery. If i need the points for mastering something a holocron told me, like Droid Engineer, what do i do? Kill my other Mastry-Skill, my weapon Skill, which ineed to get the next holo?
And yes, id like to have pics of the Naboo-Cantina.

The things I realy want to know is can the owner kick/ban from the structure or does the mayor have to do this. Can kick/ban rights be given to other players individualy IE give a player kick but not band. Lastly can I give kick/ban rights without granting full admin rights. If not I think we need these things added.
it's a player own structure, so it works just like a house. anyone with admin rights can ban. mayor and militia can only ban from "public civic structures", and cantina doesn't count.
That really sucks. A large house takes 6 lots. So I have only 4 remaining and I can't open a cantina. What a crock. Why not make a cantina 4 lots?
I wonder what these guys are thinking about. A cantina owner is a big guy on the block and deserves to own a large home. Devs, you need to look at this lot thing again.
As to why it is 5 lots.. That thing is HUGE... 7x7... It is the third largest structure in the game (City hall is larger at 10x7, at least for Naboo, but it's not technically player owned.. Then non Tat PA hall is 7x8 at 9 lots... So 5 for a cantina isn't bad in the grand scheme of things considering a large house is 6 and is only 5x7 or 6x7)

Yes you can transfer ownership. Me and Ahsidh have transfered ownership of the new Unity Cantina before to each other a few weeks back.Hehe, so no your not the only person that has onesilly Richie, but I still love ya.
Plus it's only one room.
And there aren't any stairs so I can't put anything on the tables or anything. We really nead a /move up/down command.
But other than that... Yay! I have my own Cantina!
just took these 2 in a hurry... i'll take more if you guys want:
