Thanks, may well do that as during the day my guild can b very quite and sometimes I just wanna chat about nothing

Does anyone else just do entertaining for their guild or does everyone tend to hit the major cities?

I tend to entertain just for my guild, when I'm actually on my entertainer, but only because I lag to death trying to go to any major cantina.

I do some of both. Originally I did major cities, mainly Theed. That cantina was my domain. I had a fairly large following, and got fairly well know while I performed and buffed. As our interdependent functions (healing, buffing) decreased I started doing it more for my guild. At one point on Corbantis we went to having parties 3 times a week that rotated private cantinas but that even tapered off. Now I perform to relax and to spend time with my friends. Most of my guild has two characters one combat and one non-combat. Some evenings we all log in to fight or fly. Those nights we will seperate out into groups and go get violent. Other nights we feel less active and will log in our non-combat tunes, hang in the Pilgrim's Place Saloon, and chill to the performance of Imaji, Abye, and me while the others craft and chat. This is the essance of what we do in my opinion and its always a great time. It is amazing how fast 4 hours can go when you are watching your toon perform and chatting with good friends.

Now I'm stopping by Theed occassionally but its almost empty with 5 whole AFK performers. So until the new buffs hit and people want us a little more I continue to stay out of the cities most of the time.

I do both.

However, I refuse to perform in places that are over-run by AFK zombies, so I usually stick to Eisley (which usually has a decent ATK to AFK ratio, if not 100% ATK), and avoid Dant MO like the plague (which is full of AFK zombies).

I pretty much stay in Theed, althoughthe other night I lost my mind and decided to dance at the MO.I made a bundle of credits because I was the only ATKer. It was pretty fun to watch everybody double-take when I actually greeted them by name, but it would've been nice to have other ents there to play with. I ended up in guild chat and tellswhen the combat guys weren't in the cantina.

Thanks for that, interesting to see everyone else's take on the dancer profession.

I must admit I have AFK'd alot, mainly in my guilds cantina but most recently in theed, mainly due to the fact I am getting close to mastering and the progression slowed big time. I am looking forward to some quality ATK as Idid envy the ATK's last night as I crashed out as they seemed to be having a very interesting conversation, although for the life of me i couldn't ascertain the subject. I do know that somebody got spanked though !! Alas I have a week's worth of exams and I cant really justify it at the moment

Oh, I had a very brief attempt at chat in the european-chimaera ent chat with no success but I will persevere.

Well, back to the revision so I hope to see people in the future while I strut my funky stuff !!

Hi Emmeline, I would say come to Theed cantina when you want some Ent company, but Theed is pretty quiet these days.

At least you are AFK in a player cantina and providing a service of sorts to your guildies. Join the Ent chat channel on Chim when logged in, it's a way of keeping in touch with other ents and hearing about bands forming.

Theed quiet ... u sure? Was about 6 or 7 ents last night and at least that listening.

Logged this morning and had a good ATK chat with another computing-type student before AFK'ing with another half a dozen assorted ents in there.

Have to say though players are odd creatures, surrounded by AFK I say hello to someone and they listen to an AFK instead .... Gggggrrrr

Yes, Theed is quiet, it's rare these days for so many to be there. It used to be that all day there would be that number there. I really miss those days and it actually makes me so sad to be there some days now. So many good friends have gone and with so few coming into the cantinas, it's harder to make new friends.

I am hoping the new buffs will address that, but initially I can see a lot of resentment building up till we and the patrons get the hang of them.

Many do choose afkers because they prefer to not interact with ATKers or feel they can get away with not tipping. Personally, I think its the latter.

Well, something must be in the air as quite a few ents in Theed now with quite a few being ATK.

Have to say, for my 1st proper ATK experience it is enjoyable. Pity I have to leave for an exam soon ...

It is holiday time, don't forget, in a week or so it will be quiet again during the day. Honestly, Theed is no where as busy as it used to be, nor is Bestine either. But I'm glad you are enjoying your time and I hope the Ent profs stays shining fresh for you. Sadly, I think I'm getting jaded and reminiscing over the 'good old days' too much now.

Well, the site of 3 master dancers all doing the same dance in line, in synch, was very impressive. Add to that a pair of twin's dancing opposite and the cantina is suddenly very alive

I get the impression they all know each other too ... Sarlene, Rave'n, xxMousexx, Foxr & Renalax all talk like they are old buddies. I could well make this a regular haunt of mine
