• Very little content for us entertainers... once you've mastered and done the entertainer quests at the Theater, all that is left is performing and roleplaying.


• All the cool items are reserved for combat chars who can loot them and gouge you with high prices if you want one.


• When I perform, I have to cope with half the cantina's performers being AFK (yes, even in Theed), spammers (my ignore list is so long it scrolls), rude patrons (some are nice, yes) while the othersjust ignore me . Or I can play all alone in my club on Talus, where no one stops by.


• No steady income, I get very few tips (most tip me to get in my Hall of Fame, a movement I originally started over6 months ago).


• My buffs cannot even compare with those from buffbots since I cannot afford to buy the big mind enhancement tapes. The last +9 music tape I bid on (I quit at 3.2 mil) sold for 16 mil... how can a pure performer be expected to pay that much?


• We have 4 broken dances, many more that are incomplete, and it took over 16 months to get 1 new song and 1 new dance (with 2 variations, both broken).


• Our droids are pretty but do nothing useful... if only we could heal and buff away from cantinas... then maybe the buffbots would leave out cantinas alone. We could also make a buck as wandering minstrels, going where we are needed.


• And yes, to top it off, not only do the devs and CSR's defend unattended gameplay and AFK buffbots, they even encourage it by publishing a macroing guide that features a dance macro.

I really wish SWG had a dedicated "roleplay-encouraged" server, like Everquest and EQ2. A server where AFK gameplay and buffbots would get ban warnings from CSRs (banned from that server I mean), where spammers would get the same warning... and yes, my Christmas wish is for TH's promise of recursive macros to go away being realized.

Why do I keep playing? Because I'm addicted despite all this, because of the friends I made... to me, SWG is more or less a big 3D chatroom, the rest is just perks. The live events are great fun and those make my monthly fee worth it, but then again I do not really have money problems in RL, so to me, 15$ is nothing, I can spend that at Starbucks every 2 days. I really really feel for those of youtoiling hard every day for minimum wage, youfor whom the price of this game is much higher by comparison, how frustrating it must be.

But I remain hopeful for the future... the underdogs did win in Star Wars after all... and this time, the underdog are entertainers.
