Tandava i think you are a (rhymes with witch) and im sure you feel the same about me. so lets stop being mad at each other over a word and just decide that if you ever come onto kauri and decide to be rebel i will hunt your ass down all day for fun i am sick of ppl trying to be the authority on everything and think that they own the boards. I think there was enough to offend in that post rather, Chao, and i'm not surprised that Valenia didn't know about it. I didn't know about the buff either till when a week ago a friend told me in game about it.

Some of us, you see, come on boards just once in a while and don't pass here all the time. So we might not know everything, and looking for an info between thousands of posts is not always that easy.

And to finish, i think that if you don't want to give answers to a post that asks questions, then don't post back anything and save your and our time. Posting back "you're ignorant, read the boards" just means a waste oftime and of that board space you seem to consider so valuable. Next time be nice and post there just the link to those posts that answer it, if you can't stop fingers from typing.

Actually I'm okay with Vionard's last post I can be wanker sometimes. I'm more than a bit overstressed with not being able to play since my computer had a HAL error. I'm waiting on delivery of a new one. I cannot borrow anyone's computer and no work computer can take SWG either. So I've been stuck. All I can to do right now is read the forums and get uptight about things since 90% of the boards is all about negative takes on things.

And since I game mostly with Brits, I don't mind the words and the agree to disagree. I think both things happened. I honestly didn't mean offense since I didn't say "willful ignorance" which is where I think Vionard is coming from, and I really think people need to spend time to just glance through forums before starting a post like that because if yo'ure on them a lot you see a lot of unnecessary repeition. And I also see that it WAS a bit short of me to put it like that and came off as unfriendly.

It would almost be fun to make a rebel character on her server so she could hunt me down. Would be a great way to let off some steam. I just can't even play my character out

So I hope the post was useful to someone somewhere, and if someone thinks I am out of line you can call me wanker, as long as when I am on a roll and making deep philosophical or brilliant observations that people say that's cool too.

well despite all the peripheral conversation, i actually did learn something about both the mind buff and /denyservice from this thread.

i'd like to think that this forum is quite appropriate for asking questions about the dancer profession? so why the hostility?

thanks to those who provided meaningful insight, i will put this to good use ASAP.

I can confirm it from personal observation.
If you run out of range and the dancer/musician is still performing you do get the buff.
If you run out of range, /stoplisten or /stopwatch, but the performer isn't performing anymore, you won't get the buff.

So unless you specifically ask for mind buff, or the performer is dedicated to give you a buff, regular cantina interuptions(stopping to reposition due to dance drag, stopping to heal your action or rest, stopping to train someone or get trained) will cancel prevent buffing.

The most I have gotten is 500 in Mind from watching a master dancer, and it always only lasts a few minutes. Nothing like the doctor buffs. But if you could buff your Mind, Focus, and Willpower by 500 each (just kile Muon Gold) for 2 hours, it would be seriously difficult to take you down in PvP, especially with the addition of Food and Spice buffs on top of that.

As it stands, you could really help out a group on a hostile planet by staying in a camp and dancing for them, allowing them to renew their Mind pool regularly. Even better would be a master musician, as the regeneration ability is even more important. If you can get a Doctor, Dancer, and Musician to camp your camp, you would have a serious non-stop hunting party.
