When dancing tonight from some evil diseasing monsters tried exotic and then flourished and was getting around 15 ent healing points a time. Then did a /changedance to basic to save some fatigue and the ent healing xp went to around 7. After that changed back to exotic and it went back up to 15. Always thought entertainment healing xp was based on how much you healed. If it is then that might indicate something. If not I'm just on crack and you can all ignore me.

At issue isn't the XP gained, it's the rate of healing provided by various dances. We can't be certain that our XP gain has anything to do with how much we heal, or rather the number of people /watching us.

As I re-read this thread I had the bright idea of doing this experiment with my scout. She tends to run up some nasty BF, and it would be pretty easy to find a dancer who could cooperate with me in the test. I'll put a stopwatch on it and enable timestamps and see what happens -- though it will take several days to finish as I'll have to get all that BF back before each test.

I have never seen the mind bar not regenerate past the unbuffed maximum, and I've been watching people getting the mind buff since I first heard about it.. I am a master dancer so often it's my mind buff I'm seeing people get.

Is this just one watcher? Perhaps there are other variables.. Some food that debuffed their willpower or some spice or something that might have some effect?

About the mind buff, I feel( but I'm not sure ) that when you switch to another dance the mind buff stopto be applied. Can anyone confirme this ?

I can say with certainty the marginal mindbuffs that we do hand out are bugged. On a significant number of tests the watchers' total mind pool was increased, however their mind bar never regenerated to fill their new theoretical maximum. It never regenerated past their unbuffed maximum at all.

Let's be sure about this. It seems to me that you may have been seeing the typical HAM bar bug we've had to put up with since release. Sometimes doing CTRL+SHIFT+H a couple times to refresh your UI screen will update the HAM bars (worked when leaving groups was bugged, too).

I'll echo what others have said - I've watched players' mind pools grow when they /watch me, and their mind pool has always filled past their unbuffed max.

A note about falling... My character is a master entertainer as well as a master dancer.. I can't remember the last time I saw her fall dancing. Could it be that master dancers fall because they only have 90 dance skill (where as a ME/MD has 100)?

That would be an awfully large amount of falling for a deficit of only 10%.

Yesterday I tested, if the dances are responsible for the healing rate.

First I killed my "guinea pig" that he has enough BF to test it. Thanks hereto the patient, poor victim.

After this I started with basic 1.

I healed the BF with a rate of 48 in 2 mintues.

Then I changed to exotic 4.

Here I healed the BF with a rate of 98 in 1 minute.

Running this test I did no flourishes.

I would say, this difference is huge, and shows that it is not an effect of randomly variations in the healing ticks.

I personly dislike the result of this test, because it shows that a better, more diversifying performance slows down the healing rate. And most of the audience wants to be healed as fast as possible.

Okay, we're getting badly sidetracked here.

We're looking to find out if dance type (i.e. exotic3, exotic2, exotic, lyrical, lyrical2, popular, poplock, poplock2, basic and basic2, etc.) affect both BF and wound healing differently - i.e if I, as a Master Dancer, perform exotic3, will it do more to heal BF and mind wounds than if I perform basic. Any other discussion, however meritorious, needs to have another separate thread. So far, I think one, perhaps two, messageshave attempted to address the issue brought up in theoriginal post. All the others are tangential at best. Please let's get back on track, or, if no one wants to address the issue, let's just let the thread die.

Since June 2004, running one of the game's first completely nonviolent characters. Testing the limits of non-combat MMORPG play and trying to have fun into the bargain (although the developers make it difficult).

Combat is no longer compulsory.

I wasn't responding to your post. If all the posts were like yours, I wouldn't have a problem. The problem is that something like 15 of 17 posts here DON'T address the originalissue.

Okay.. I've finally got the ability to alter my skills so I promise I'll get around to my big test here really soon. (this week sometime unless something bizarre happens) Just need to find some time and grab a few victims from my PA to test it on.. really hope one of our combat medics is around.. those guys are wonderful for wounds.

Ravenmist, I have a Master Musician on Test Center now too, and one thing I'd like to do is test whether you and I can confer our buffs simultaneously. Since we may be the only two Masters on the server, we should try to hook up and perform. I'll be on tonight (Friday) from about 5 pm EDT on.

Don't believe him! It's a trick! He's really coming to Yavin 4 with us on a hunting spree!

Or did you forget, NewJedi? I hear the first thing to go is your mind.
