Clarification, as we asked this at the Fan Fest. It's not SOE, it's Lucas Arts that is concerned about the ratings and putting gambling in the game, as in Jabba's Casino that they were thinking of adding. They've put it on hold and are considering it still, but it would have to be remarketed/labeled or whatnot.

Wow, that's a new story. *bites tongue*

Whatever, we can talk about mini-games that aren't gambling related then.

I'm sure additions like these would still be down the road a bit, but anybody have any other ideasto help Cantinas be a real final destination for other player types?

A mechanic that increased with the amount of time one was in a hazardous situation away from the comforts of civilization, that reduced their effectiveness to perform certain tasks with optimum efficiency. Players would seek out the cantina, because they would see it as an oasis, or a port in a storm. This would give us the opportunity to put on a show, so they can be amused and impressed with our skills, and be grateful for our concern.

But wait. We are getting nerfed of that because some dancers don't feel it is their place to amuse combat types.

One of my desires in this game has always been for people to fear the weather, thunderstorms in particular. Once it started clouding over and thundering, I really wanted to see players running for cover into shelter, rather than just standing around like nothing's going on.

My theory was the chance of a random lightning strike, LOL. If you're outdoors, no matter where you are, you could get hit by lightning. This would make Dathomir an even more dangerous place, as there's very little shelter there and a LOT of trees.

On the desert planets, sandstorms could actually cause damage to you. Living on Tatooine, I've seen some pretty serious sandstorms kick up - while I continue to run through it with some pants and a short-sleeved shirt on. Maybe not HAM damage, maybe it could cause wounds the longer you stay out in it.

Though these would encourage just getting inside of any structure, I'd think if you *had* to get inside, you could at least be entertained while waiting out the storm.

Your "port in a storm" reference just jogged my memory about that

New Additions for Entertainers (hey, we will need some stuff just for us if everybody really starts using these places )
A Dressing Room Area (Ent Only - Maybe you have to be on the Entertainment Schedule to use it)

Please send me a forum PM when I get access to thislol.

I seem to remember actually getting hit by lightning when the game first came out. *hopes it really was this game and not some other one* What ever happened to that?
