Um, can someone tell a newbie what mo-capped means? *blushes*

Yes, it's the difference between Gollum and The Hulk--Gollum was mo-capped and looked completely realistic (to me anyway)whereas the Hulk wasn't mo-capped and looked like a big green eraser that moved (to me anyway).

I would really like to be able to move in a few steps either direction while continuing to dance. It's embarrassing enough that my male dancer gains best doing exotic (I think he looks hot, but I should point out that I'm female in RL and built my dancer to my specifications to watch hehe), but to end up essentially lapdancing on some burly axefighterand unable to move off them without stopping dancing is really awful.

Thanks Ravenmist,

Whats the status on fixing the base dance jitter

really bad ones:

Formal,Lyrical,Popular,Formal2,Lyrical2

needs work

Rythmic2,Footloose2

also worth mentioning:

You can pivot while dancing using the normal turn comands. Work on timing it at a point in your dance were it looks natural though or it can look pretty bad. You can also move anywere on the dance floor you wish too under the current system. Study your flourishes and work on your timing.

On the /mirror command I'm not shure what others have asked for what I want from this is a mirrior image of my current flourishes. Currently all flourishes move to the right and just want the oposite flourish so I can work to the left. This one should not only be simple but in the hands of some of the more experienced dancers open up a lot of new routines.

She's talking about timing your flourishes and changing your angles to use them to move around the room. You can't actually walk or move in the normal way.

Im talkign about "warping" your flourishes like Ravemist said, but more importantly Im talkign about acually moving anywhere you want when you want using dancing not movement keys. I'm sorry if Im not more specific but if you "play" with your dances rather then macro them you will discover dozens of easter eggs in the curent dance system.

This is a really nice wish list.

Wish I had my non-CH pets back for entertaining. I didn't know it was considered an exploit to collect small cute pets todo tricks while I danced. Now I keep one pet for hunting and one for entertaining but it isn't the same... I miss the little guys.

Thanks for representing dancers, Ravenmist!

Sultrina, I didn't even know how to macro until recently and I did all my flourishes by hand for weeks and weeks. I didn't see a single "easter egg." Perhaps you can enlighten us?

It's not your imagination.... In fact, theres even a smokebomb you've never seen if you don't know how to call old ones.. If you remember, the first smokebomb is a puff of smoke going outwards... Try this command while dancing:

/smokebomb 1

You'll see something you've never seen before likely. Now, if you're paying attention, I just answered this request for you. You can call any of the old light show effects by following the command for it with a 1 2 or 3. (Well, 3 is the highest) When doing group dancing, being a guy I'm often in the middle to balance out the line.. So I often use /spotlight 1 to give a nice effect over all the dancers without drawing attention to a specific dancer. Also sometimes I like to do /distract 1 with waltz when there is bass, timing it with the first beat of every measure. For some dances, /distract 2 makes a nice effect to change costumes behind as an alternative to smoke.

The topic of easter eggs is geting off topic so Im starting a new thread by reposting Sultrina's Dance School.

Ravenmist,

I was digging through my old documents and this is my original wish list from beta with a few new things added. I know most of this has been brought up allready but these are still my sincerist wishes for the class. Of course I also want to see the new flourishes fixed as well but we allready have a comitment from the DEV's on that.

Bad dance animations:
You touched on this, here is a complete list (please push this one until they fix it!):
Lyrical2, Lyrical, Formal2, Formal, Footloose2, and Rythmic2, Popular.

Flourishes:
I am glad they are adding new flourishes to the game and I am glad you are pushing on this. A comment on the “flourishes that have nothing to do with the dance” though, don’t take all of these away please. Each dance needs a couple of these to transition into a /changedance. It is a very important tool and badly needed especially for a dance like Exotic. Flourish 7 from the popular would be a good flourish to get BACK into the flourish 7 slot on exotic. Can we, as a community, ask that flourish 7 and 8 be “transition” flourishes and all other be unique?

I would love to see a “mirror” ability that allows a dancer to chose the mirror opposite of a flourish.

Example: Moonwalk makes me walk 3 steps left/slide 6 steps right/walk right 3 steps, it’s “mirror” would simply make me do the opposite walk 3 steps right/slide 6 left/walk left 3 steps.

Band tipping:
I see this asked for a lot. The problem is most want it forced on the customer. I suggest it be implemented like this:
/btip <amount> <bank option>

The /btip allows the user to tip the whole troupe. Its operation would be simple /btip 100 would cause 100 credits to be distributed across the entire troupe with the remainder going to the target of the /btip command. The only flaw in this system is if there are 10 members of a troupe and the person /btips 5. I suggest for simplicity that the whole 5 go to the original target. If course if the DEVs want to get fancy a better system is the remainder should be split between the target and the bandleader with any new remainder going to the original target.

Lightshows:
I ‘think” it could just be my imagination. As we progress as a dancer your lightshow animations get bigger and more elaborate. If this is true please let us call the old animations as master sometimes a little light show is better then a big one.

Thanks for reading,
Sultrina
