I love this idea... except that I think it is absolutely necessary that we be able to buff with droids. I can't make half the credits a doc makes for buffing, because customers being buffed in front of the starport don't want to walk all the way across town to a cantina or hotel. This could be a tremendous source of income for dancers!

Very interesting post!
I've thought quite a bit about the use of droids to ehnance entertainers abilities...
I like the idea of more street performance... I myself enjoy performing in Starports while waiting for the ship... (as long as there aren't many offended by a little playing and from time to time, a little singing) 
But I can understand how annoying driods could be... beeping, booping, eating batteries at an incredible rate (if they're like the droids of today).
I've been a master dancer since the release practically... and I've always stuck with this profession... during good times and very very difficult times. *sigh* I have always had high hopes for
Just please please.. if droids will be used to give entertainers ehnancements.. don't do it in favor of the AFK'ers ... Entertaining has gone down the tube enough already.
