That'd be interesting if it's true. However, the fact that only a couple of the entire group got the buff makes me suspect that instead of this being an ability to buff in the starport, it's a case of the 'stored-up' buff that some people utilize. I don't remember the exact mechanics of it, but essentially you get your normal buff, and then go through the motions of getting another buff right after that one, but only activate it much later somehow.
Just a caveat on people getting their hopes up, if this was the case.

I can't really say for sure. All I can tell you is that I did my buff dance two times in the starport, and each time at least one member of the group said they got a buff from it. I don't know what they may have done before they got there, but I think most of them had shuttled in. As far as the "reserve buff" trick, I thought this had been removed, though I've never tried it myself. The one person who had specifically requested the buff never got it. I think I even did a /setperform on her the second time, and it apparently still didn't take. They didn't stick around long enough for me to keep trying it, and I didn't see enough value in it to try it again myself. Maybe this will encourage some others to try it, and we'll see what happens if they report back in.

You keep alluding to NPC dancers, and you're making me worried.
I think I agree with you fundamentally that any and all healing, buffing, xp, credits, etc. should go to a *real* player, no matter what the scenario is. And, I have definitely posted about how I think many entertainers are not exactly looking at the big picture and are being *far* too stringent in their viewpoints, and unwilling to make some compromises for the combat folks. I think we should really try to be coming up with more ideas that will benefit us directly, instead of being stringent and seeing these NPC's come about as the solution.![]()

maybe you guys are right,
If we were able to buff in the starport, itmay become just like the current afk, buffbot, spam haven that the cantinas are now.
And I suppose that would completely elliminate the FUN aspect of the starport parties.

The picture says it all ... the starport allowes us much more space than a theater, hotel,or cantina.
And draws a better crowd, which imo makes for better entertaining.

It would be nice to buff there, but i would not want to bring along with it all the problems you guys have mentioned.
I do think those things would ruin the experience.
UnfortunatelyI do not have a solution.
The only thing i could think of were ent. droids that allow us to buff when they are out, combined with ATK only buffs (ones where the interface requires both the buffer and the buffie to click).
Both of these have been mentioned before and have arguments for and against.
So here i stand...
Look at how much fun starport parties are!

I think the best way to figure it out is get a little battle fatigue, and try performing around the ticket terminals. If the BF goes away, you can buff right where you are.
That's what I do to see if I can buff in different places, seems to work ok.
If anyone actually gets it to work, post the info lol
