I forget, what was this thread about again?

Why I love dancing:

  • I love the way I look doing it (my avatar anyway). I don't care what anyone says, human males and twi'lek males look dead sexay doing all those dances.

  • I've discovered that I really love performing in a band or troupe. Having people cheer and tell me (and the band) how awesome we are kinda gives me a thrill.

  • It's something I can do when I don't feel like doing something else. Having to actively go buff and hunt and stuff is fun sometimes. But, honestly, sometimes when I log on to play, all I wanna do is dance and talk and do something that doesn't require too much effort on my part. Not that really good dancing is effortless, but for some reason I enjoy it so much that it doesn't seem as much of an effort as running a factory or going out hunting.

  • The people I meet. For every hologrinder who disappoints me by dropping 5 seconds after achieving master, I love when I "discover" a new talent and can show them the ropes. I love talking about dancing almost as much as I love actually dancing.

  • It's a great way to make contacts for clothing, accaragm, or nearly anything else you might want to do, up to and including hunting or raiding.

  • Entertainers are *never* lacking in AP points.

I can probably think of more, but my lunch hour is nearly up.

Oh, and Fuschia...if everything goes according to my evil plan, you will not always be the only dancer in your city.

the people, the fun, the ability to do something without having to kill things, the feeliing you get when you are thanked and/or get a big tip, meeting people, the dancing. the fact that we arent a flavor of the month class, and the questions i get about my attuide, and style, and many other things.

now all i have to do is find somebody that is trustable, plays on wanderhome, and intrepid both, so i can see about trading credits cross server so i'm not poor when i play my entertainer hehe. (about 600,000 credits )

- The dances

To bad Parties are gone and the people are slowly being replaced by Afk grinders....

Th said that we had to create our own content instead of the dev team supplying us with content... HELLO!!! lol...

When was the last time the Devs ever stalked a Dancer or even looked at our fourms?

I no longer have a dancer, I have a musician, but I did dancing while holo grinding...

Now, I dreaded doing dancer.. apparently it was dead boring and going to take weeks... But way back when I did dancer, I met one very important person soon after I started. That person was a yet-to-be correspondent named Panthu. She kept me at the keyboard for quite some time!

After that I found more and more people to talk to, and it got very hard to leave and go to bed with so many fun people to ear bash... (I still blame Panthu for my current sleeping disorders )

So it's got to be the socialising for me.. something I don't usually seek out, but if it weren't for Panthu, the many other entertainers present, and not to mention the holo grind, I'd not have had that great experience with all the wonderful people I met.

I love how in depth the dancing can really be. When I first found out on accident that you could changed in the middle of flourish and then when I first read Sultrina's Dance School things and found out a little better how to use them. Sadly I don't use that stuff nearly as much now as I used to. It's sort of hard in a afk crowded cantina. And sort of sadly boring to do it by myself in some out of the way cantina. I loved dancing together with others (using both bandflo and just flo together). Talking to people about what ever. RPing. Getting TIPS Going and spending tons of money with friends on huge shopping sprees till we were broke again. Having people remember me. And asking me to travel across the galaxy to heal and buff them because I also really entertained them and gave them a break from what ever it is they were doing. Ohh man hard to keep this thing positive as I'm a downer kind of person But I'll stop there I think.

1) This profession is one of the few where the skill boxes and levels do not make one better at it.

2) Since I need no credits, lots, or special eqiupment to practice my trade, I can do it anywhere at any time.

3) I'm not another "face in the crowd" at the starport or the battlefield.

4) It offers a good opportunity to understand human nature (or Wookiee nature, or Trandoshan nature).

5) It offers an open-ended creative outlet.

I only dance occasionally, but I like it for the same reason I like Musician: it's a friendly, social profession.

1: The other entertainers. Just a generally fun, happy and friendly group of people

2: The clientele, some of them can really make your day. With their words, /deepbows and their thanks. One of the most important things I love about this profession is the many friendships i've formed whilst doing it.

3: Can't forget the clothing, thank god for tailors.

4: The atmosphere, doing what you love with great people that love doing it too. Nothing beats a good live group with the right people
