I used to use weapons for performances. I still occasionally do for specific numbers that absolutely need it.

However I don't do it just on a whim. Everyone does it. Now seeing someone dance WITHOUT a weapon is something to see.

The funny thing is you don't need a weapon not to fall. Just don't do your highest dances. I never fall on popular2 or poplock2.

Inside my heart is breaking, my make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
Fairytales of yesterday will grow but never die
I can fly - my friends

As a rule I dislike wielding weapons whilst dancing, though I can appreciate that some of the dances work well when combined with them. I don't disagree that falls should be in there, only maybe reducing the frequency of them for Master Dancers. The only occasion that i've used one whilst performing is when i've been in a dance group. With five Master Dancers having one of them fall every few flourishes spoilt the effect we were trying to acheive and therefore ruined the immersion aspect of the game which is so very imporatant to me and to the majority of other players.
