Another thing that should be implemented is how fast you can talk in spatial.
As a 1-healing-box-short-of-being-master dancer, I've found that Dantooine is one of the best places to earn alot of healing xp. Only problem is, its almost impossible to engage in conversation with the cantina patrons because of all the spam from either AFK entertainers, or all the shouting idiots outside trying to sell their wares. My ignore list has grown to about 30 people because they spam their wares.
As far as anti-AFK measures go, thers alot of things you can do. Make it so that after 15 minutes of idling, you go AFK...this can't be turned off by the player. Once you go AFK, all macros are dumped and your player stops animating. If you are AFK for over 2 hours, the systesm logs you out.
As far as buffs are concerned. Give us two commands: setSingleBuff and setGroupBuff. If you are solo buffing someone, you select their toon and type setSingleBuff. A dialogue box comes up, you have to type yes in. If you are in a group for a group buff, you have to use setGroupBuff. This works the same way, except you dont have to select anyone. You have to type "yes" in the dialogue box.
As far as spam is concerned, set a limit on how fast you can talk. ie Flood Control on AIM. Bestine Cantina, for example, is right next to the starport....and it gets hammered with spam sometimes, making conversations almost impossible.
These 3 things would be a huge step in the right direction for entertaining. And they wouldn't even be that hard to implement.

BH are in a rather dangerous situation right now. They're a hybrid profession that isn't good at what it's supposed to do, hunt bounties. They have also been broken since Day One, so have Smugglers.
Ironically, Dancers have gotten more [positive] attention over the time, in the form of the buff revamp.
Bounty Hunters are also getting a "band aid" and effectively a promise that they will never get the power level that they originally expected/wanted out of hte profession and are now relegated to be yet another Overly Templated profession.
It's just not a fair comparison or consideration at all. Ironically what is being requested is a rather major change to the AFK and the macro system [one that would ironically detrimentally affect ImageDesigners in the current situation - many ID use anti-Idle macros thanks to the 10 minute timer].

I agree that AFK is the problem. They need to set the idle timer to like 30 minutes and make it so it can't be turned off. 30 minutes you Go afk... 30 minutes later it logs you. Simple easy. Already in game. I like this option over the /dump as even if they are just standing there it uses up some of SOEs server power. I think something like this needs to be the #1 thing among all the Ent profs. And we need to bother them until it happens.
#1 they don't "like" unattended game play.
#2 it keeps their macro system intact.
#3 people are really going to have a hard time coming up with valid complaints/reasons as to why they should be allowed to AFK for an hour.
Will this FIX our profs ? no. but darn it it will be something they needed to do and should have done a long time ago. And it will go along way toward giving us an enviroment in which we can then start to heal/fix things.
But I'm not sure if it was even in this thread.... as far as our game mechanics (healings/buffing)... I do have fears about what the up coming Re-balance is going to do to our ability to make a living from buffing.
Anyways....
Something MUST be done about AFKing it HAS to be started there. You need to clean a wound before you can start dressing it up and stiching it. AFK needs to be cleaned out of this wound.
Buffing changes would be great as well as healing changes.... adding more flourishes... making it so all the dances display correctly... more songs... more instruments.... hutt casino.... better Ent Missions.... More Content.... all great wonderful BADLY needed stuff. But it doesn't do any good to stitch and bandage and cover the wound with a pretty ribbon if it's just going to get infected rot and turn gangreen and end up getting us amputated.

This isn't a Dancer vs. Bounty Hunter thing. Stop making it one. I'm sure Bounty Hunters have their own axes to grind, and they have a forum to grind them in, but it's not this one.
