I'm reserving this space for advertisements, general purpose editorials and rants, and discussions about the southeast asian cockatoo.
Seriously. What's with the 'reserving' of pages? Just go test, and when you find something...post it?
Weirdos.

Yeah, I'm not sure how well we'll be able to test our healing abilities. According toTC though, we have all our old abilities still. I'm going to check everyday to see if they made any changes to us, and do a little dancing.

Unfortunately I was not able to get in Test to see anything last night
However from reading the feedback I am more then little concerned.
If it’s true that max group is now 8 players, it will have huge negative impact on large coordinated performances.
Did anyone check if there is a “join raid” option? LOL Yeah I know it sounds totally off the wall, but since the whole CU is copy-paste of EQ2 then who knows… and maybe it be possible for us to /bandflow as large groups that way.

I’m really hopping to be able to get in there this evening and see the whole mess for myself.

We heal bf with no problem. There's a group that has promised to get wounds for us tonight so we can get numbers on how fast we heal and what the xp is like for us. They've also promised to accumulate a bit and see what penaltyBF hasfor them. Yeah..the 8 member group limit is bad. Don't know if anyone tried a "join raid" option or something similar (I showed up later in the evening).
(quote of the night goes to the leader of my favorite pvp team "there's a chuba guys..let's get him!")

Not sure if this is a change on TC5, or just the interface being screwy (group interfaces are uuugly on there at the moment) but I was checking my stat drain on my character interface while dancing Basic and it looks like flos now hit constitution instead of any of the action bars. Others in the group confirmed this. Has anyone else observed the same effect on either TC or TC5?

Dancers still have an entire bar dedicated to wound healing.
When dancing Basic 1, we still used the Action bar to do flourishes. Flourishes for Basic were costing about 22 action points. Basic I believe was taking 10 action points, but I didn't have a chance to time how often that ticks.
I was pressed for time, so I didn't get to do much else last night. I'm sure that when you run out of the action specials pool that you will stop dancing. I can't confirm this however.

For me, flos were using Action only.

Ok my general test data from last night....
Action cost is the same as before. We get 1000 quickness and stamina by default though which should be enough for us to flourish nonstop with any dance as long as we are unencumbered. In fact dancer has not changed one bit. The only changes that effect us for sure is that mind wounds no longer exist, most armour and weapons now requires a combat skill. Until we have the ability to test the dancer profession we won't know about enhancement abilities.
Healing xp is definately going to be a massive problem. We only have battle fatigue to heal which means VERY slow experience gains as well as a skill point total cost that is 28 points too high for both musician and dancer. We were still able to get healing experience, but the rate we aquired the experience was lower even than before the recent patch we had that increased the healing time.
The storm trooper spawn checking out the cantina for trouble makers was definately TOO high for those people who have wanted this issue resolved. The storm troopers were investigating the cantina based on the total number of characters inside it appeared. As new people arrived the chance that the storm trooper would appear increased. At one point we three different storm troopers investigating the cantina at the same time. The spam was unbearable.
The key issuses to be addressed based on the testing I did last night;
1) Healing experience needs to be lowered or battle fatigue needs to grat about 10x more than it currently is.
2) Skill point total needs to be adjusted down by 28 points until such time that the wound healing is replaced with some needed skill.
3) Entertainers need the ability to wear decorative weapons and armour.
4) Storm Trooper spam and spawning needs to go or at the very least become a once per two hour+ event ala the Leia/Vader landings.

I've always been a willing tester... but honestly at the moment I am more busy trying out how the combat works and what new role fencers will have. (The diagram in the docu indicates that the role of fencers, who were formerly mostly tanking in PvP seriously changed).
But seriously, I wish it was TC and not TC5. Where the hell do you guys hang out if you wanna test dancing. The place were NU used to be? The place where SS used to be? Oh, and I saw that everyone has every starting profession... I assume that this is only for testing?

Here are my findings (TC-5 - Desire Wanderhome):
First you create a new toon - a new toon is given novice on every starting profession - I don't know if that is just so people can test or how you are going to start out as new character.
Currently they are in the newbie testing phase to TC-5, with that said what you can get from the frogs is the following:
Credits
Swoop
House
Weapons
Everything else is turned off and that includes resources and crafting supplies - so yes your stuck with those pretty red shoes for awhile along with those slimming padded pants we start off with. But everyone else is garbed in noob wear so you don't stick out.
I did two tests - set up a macro to run flourishes every 4 secs. Then went about testing.
While playing an instrument - I dropped maybe 3 points of constitution per flourish, however the good news is - before the next flourish I was totally regenerated again. This was while I was unencumbered (newb clothing only no armor is available to try out). So I thought well what if I drop it to every 2 secs - wow cool down 5 pts of con and again totally regenerated.
While dancing I went through the same testing routine as above - with dancing I was noticing about 7 points of constitution gone but again it was quickly regenerated.
So from first pass it appears that we will continue to be able to play and dance as we have in the past and maybe even get a break on our flourishs taking so much out of us.
Things that need to change: We still have all the boxes for healing to fill - that needs to go away or skillpoint costs be reduced - or we will never be able to move out of novice entertainer - for a "very long time".
Things I didn't like - the new tool icons - too much color going on and I feel like I went from Advanced college down to preschool. The new icons are not any more intuitive and you still have to scroll over them the figure out what the heck they are - pretty colors or the nice solid color we are used to.
Will test more tonight - if the server gods allow me entry.

1) definitely needs to be addressed. I wouldlike for us to havenumbers from several dancers at different levels with how much heal xp they are getting per tick (ungrouped), as well as how much BF they are healing per tick (ungrouped).
2) When that has been suggested in the past, the opposition to it has been overwhelming. Perhaps with new knowledge, those opinions will have changed. Definitely worth re-visiting.
3) That feedback has been submitted by both Deila and Scip but can't hurt to reitterate.
4) Don't know if they'll consider that feedback with CU related submissions. It should probably go on our general issues list instead of a focus list.

I had issues getting up and running dancing when I tried.
I was continually being stoppped by the system. I didn't get a message other than "You stop dancing."
I only had this issue if I ran a macro and not if I danced normally, from what I could tell.
Is there some sort of special action pool that isn't visible that I was perhaps depleting (not the "action" pool on the HAM display, which I could see depleting and refilling as I flourished)? I noticed I could get through maybe one iteration of a /flourish 1 /pause 10 /flourish 2..../flourish 8 /pause 10 macro before I was stopped. The second iteration would end up with my being stopped after the first flourish or so, and if I tried to restart I would stop again within 30 seconds. Very much like I had a pool that was empty even though none of my displays showed me one.
I will play around with it more tonight, hopefully.

The randomly stopping dancing thing seems to happen in mos eisley, probably due to lag or something. Bestine, Theed, and C-Net were all fine.

Yup..I had the random stopping thing in Mos Eis too. Each time it happened I also heard combat music but was not being attacked and there were no red dots in the cantina or close enough to engage me.I bugged it both as dancer getting bugged when attacked and being attacked by invisible nothings.
