Zaax, I don't think you are going to get the entertainer professions to rally to your cause. While the inconsistancy with the way the economy (and the player base) treats entertainers is indeed a problem it is something we have to live with at this point. Perhaps in the future, when (if) the devs finally decided to address the problems plaguing their broken"experiment" we will be in a better position to stand up and demand tips. Right now doing so would only anger our fellow players and turn even more against us.

Thesubject of being tipped and tipping is one that I find to be a rather sticky one. I don't think anyone should require a tip, especially if they are AFK as it shows a lack of tact, I think. I don't outright ask for them myself and if someone asks how much for a mindbuff I just tell them to tip what they feel the buff is worth. I don't really believe in setting an exact price for something like that (now, when I become a doctor and start buffing other stats I will have an exact price but that is something different) and like giving people the power to decide what they will pay, as long as they are reasonable. As for tipping myself, I would tip a doctor if I could afford it and he or she spent a lot of time healing my action. But for a 'heal and run'...eh. I don't think I would.

I don't think that anyone here wants to have to "beg for a tip." I agree, that's just too tacky. However, we shouldn't have to beg. I think that's the pointhe istrying to make: to enforce some kind of sentiment of common decency to reward those who give one some benefit.

I think that's the problem, Sirii - common decency is not enforceable. Either people have it or they don't. I'm not against a gentle reminder now and again that entertainers have to earn a living on SWG,too, however I don'tbelievea postlike that is the way to go about it. . . .
