Thread: Guild buffbot stabs me in the chest...

Until the devs change the system buff bots are the defacto entertainers on every server. Only need one master dancer and one master musician on each server setup as buff bots and the need for any live entertainer is destroyed.

I asked for targeted healing before buffs became viable and I was belittled for it by the "real" entertainers because it would impact their ability to /welcome people they said or because rooms were too crowded to select everyone that needed healing.... Well enjoy your game now stuck ups.

"Guild buffbot stabs me in the chest"......seems pretty clear to me what you have to do. Because these are pretty harsh words to use when talking about one's "friends." And if you feel they are stabbing you in the chest now, chances are they'll stab you in the chest again. So leave. Don't even pack up your cantina if you do not want to. Just leave the PA and let them beg to bring you back. If they don't beg to bring you back? Then strike out on your own. There are more PAs out there than people to recruit. Put the owness on them to do what it takes to keep you. Because the fact of the matter is, Ub-ick, is that they are doing you no favor by being a part of them. You are doing THEM a favor for wearingtheirtags.

And the catch 22 is....

People complain there are no buff entertainers, so they create buff vendors, and the buff entertainerswho do exist drop entertaining for new professions because they can't get work. This gives the complainers more credibility.

First step is stay strong and hold on tightly to the profession you enjoy the most.

If you want to play hardball with your guild then eject the buff vendor and takeaway admin rightsfrom anyone who would have the information to place it in your cantina. Even if they placed it in another cantina, at leastYOUR cantina is free from buff vendors. Remember, the city couldvanish but your cantina is there to stay. The way your cantina is presented is up to you.

I'm really sorry, you're in a tough situation and if you were on Radiant I would be thrilled to have you join our village... no buff vendors allowed.

Wow.

I don't know what to say. I honestly wasn't expecting that many people to give me their well wishes. I'd like to thank everyone who has posted here with their past experiences, their advice and their wishes of luck (except for Reachwind, you're just an ass )

I think I've made some decisions:

First, in the short term, state to the guild that even if their policy about AFK Macroing is only for leveling, mine is AFK macroing for any reason is not allowed in my cantina. Anyone caught doing so will be banned and sent a polite letter explaining why.

This will probably just lead to said bot being set up in a second establishment. Once that happens I imagine two things will happen. Either I'll hear lots of talk of support, or lots of heckaling. Depending what happens, this will help me decide what I should do long term. I feel very much like leaving at this point, but the wound is still fresh. Even the 'Stabs in the chest' title was quite harsh

Again, thank you all for your support. I know that Lowca is not a popular entertainer server, but if you happen to be there, please please PLEASE stop by my cantina in Honor's Keep while I'm still there. You are all SO welcome! (Except for Reachwind, you can stay away )
