Sorry to throw a wrench into your life, but I still fail to see a problem with AFK buffing. I am still not convinced. Can anyone explain to me in great detail with examples how this hurts your profession? What are the expectations you have of your profession and why is the AFK buffing hurting it?

Some are upset that AFK buffers are giving away free buffs? Is that wrong somehow? Do entertainers need money for something? Seriously, I need some answers.

Wow this nearly brought a tear of joy to me when I saw it. Thank you soooo very much for not only doing this but taking the time to post and let us all know that there are people out there doing this that really don't know what effect it has on our profs.

I've had a master musician/ master doctor buff machine for several months now. And for some reason I decided to check the entertainer threads for the first time ever. I had no idea we were hated so much! I understand why though. I appologize for any grief I've caused. I have stopped spamming buff offers in Coronet cantina and won't do it anymore. Just thought I'd let you guys who actually do this proffession all the time, know. You are appreciated and I'll only use him to buff myself and guildies when needed. Sorry again for all the spatial spam I've caused you all! Good luck!

Even though there are answers to your questions all over this forum, and regardless of the fact that you've already said these things in about 3 separate posts that I could find, I'll try to answer

It's the last paragraph that really bothers me here. Do Entertainers need money??? Why the heck wouldn't we need money! In order to do our job better, we need to at least buy a few outfits. Also buying some drink to keep our action up never hurts. As well, it would be nice for us to be able to travel by shuttle, to have a house, a speeder. Entertainers have a right to make a life for themselves in the galaxy as much as anyone else does.

So, buffbots that give away our only means of making money for free seriously deals live entertainers a financial blow. There's just no way we can compete with a buffbot on that level. How can you undercut free?!?

What I find refreshing was thereaction of our Cantina Crawl when we 'invaded' the Theed cantina. People started coming in for their quick heal of buff from bots only to find around 40-50 live entertainers in the place! Most of their reaction was one of delighted surprise, with alot of "Wow, I didn't know you guys could do that! That's cool!"

Anyway, the long and the short of it is we also pay $15 a month and deserve to live in the galaxy as much as anyone else. Buffbots are forcing us out, and that's not right.
