I don't. But I tend to notice when something is different and there is this annoying, *censored*-retentive game tester in me that can't resist picking a bug to death.

Considering that we did not notice any "missed" flos (where I called a flo but got what appeared to be the base), it seems they failed to include the chance to fall (rather than using the base loop for the fall flo) or as nJessi suggested, didn't include any animation for it. Deila & Tiaga, you guys know the numbers on this better than I, what do you think? (keep in mind, I noticed this on a char just working on novice box but did the test on masters).I vote we play like CSRs and pretend we didn't see a thing. And btw, I asked here because I wanted the opinion of experienced dancers..and that's what I got..thanks guys.Message Edited by Esharra on 01-14-2005 04:27 PM
Are you sure you didn't see the base loop as a flo? When it is played without looping like a flo sometimes it's hard to pick it out unless you're expecting to do one thing and you do something else instead. One way to test would be to (Yes it would be boring) just repeat the same flo over and over again and see if you ever do anything different.

Having tested other things with Esharra, I would highly doubt she wouldn't have had an eye out for it and noticed it had it happened. Of course, there are ways to distract her

Positive. Also made sure it is repeatable. And changed dance just as i went into the fall, it should have started at the first of the fall for footloose.
The first night, I thought, this is weird. Last night I looked for falls.

FWIW, I tested footloose2 on a character with dancing knowledge II, hitting the same flo over and over, and saw nothing but the actual flo animation. If I feel bored and find one of my characters who is lower level, I'll try it out again, but I think there's plenty of evidence to show that the fall isn't even triggered on footloose.

Yeah, uh... footloose flourish 5 is bad. Very bad. I don't know anyone who doesn't immediately see the connection between that flourish and having beans for lunch.

I wouldn't expect someone with dance knowledge II and master entertainer to fall on footloose2 much if at all, whether or not the fall was triggered.

why should there be a falling animation for footloose, its ugly enough as it is. i think of its flos as just being a series of fall animations anyway. /shudder grapestomp. ick!

My Deila on Flurry is just qualified for Footloose there, so tonight after the Fireside Chat I spent some time dancing it.
Never once did I trigger a fall animation. However, at about the same rate that we see falls occur, my avatar simply didn't respond to flos or bandflos. The base dance just continued.
More and more I'm coming to believe that something is missing in Footloose (compared to the other dances) to tell the fall animation to play when the roll indicates that a fall occurs, and instead is just staying on the base.

I haven't tried to fall in Footloose with Shiannebecause, quite frankly, I hate the dance now and refused to even perform it to level (I'm stubborn that way
), however, I do remember long ago and far away, I used to get the same base dance response the Deila is talking about - I simply didn't respond to some flos or bandflos. I can't recall the timeframe, but I wasn't the only one who encountered the problem. I seem to recall having conversations with Lei and a few other dancers of that time about it. We all pretty much just scratched our heads and shrugged. Eventually it went away - unnoticed by most of us, I suspect.
