Liti, Anokus the doors at Bishop's Sanctuaryare always open. (The actual fact if the matter is the building contractor forgot to install them, but then thats what you get for going with the lowest bidder
) We will keep our eyes open for you and anyone else who would care to drop by. Give a /tell, drop an email or say a "Hiya" on the Ent chat channel.
Question for you Arialis, what time zone are you in (Lei lives in the Twilight-Zone(oops cross-genre)also known asEST.)

For any who choose to make a cross-server visit to Bria, I encourage you to make a trip past Mos Elsewhere before heading off for a party on Naboo.
In Mos Elsewhere, you can find the town's main cantina, The Drunken Tusken, as well as the Entertainer Memorial Cantina.

As much as we adore having new/cross-over ents racing to Bishops' Sanctuary (and trust me - WE DO!
) none of us want to take away from the Drunken Tusken in Mos Elsewhere on Tatooine or Fifth River Cantina on Corellia in Four Rivers. They are both great taverns with terrific entertainers! We enjoy visiting those establishments often! And the Memorial Cantina is a must see!

Most certainly stop in and see the Entertainer Memorial Cantina while you are on Tat. It is a must see!

In response to the point about TC character copy, here is my take on it: it will skew the population balance.
Think about it: a crafter is only as good as his last spawn. You drop a crafter with all skills, no items, into TC - well what crafter would want to spend 3 months gathering resources, or building clientele, you get the idea.
Other professions are much easier to "transfer" - run a few missions, grab a weapon, run some more, grab some armor, it can be done in a day.
So it's attractive to copy for some, but not for others.
The result: too many consumers, too few producers. In a player-run economy, this would be very detrimental.
I'm just saying - it's not all "snobbery" - there are good reasons why character copy may not be advantageous to testing and those need to be balanced against the advantages of copying.

This character copy thing... how will it work, do we know yet? I'd like to put a version of Fuschia onto Bria... but not if it means removing Fuschia from Tarquinas completely. Will the character be copied, or will it be transferred?

I read somewhere... and I really wish I could remember where, to cite the source... that it would be transfer (not copy), and that SOE would be charging a fee for the transfer. Like everything else, I imagine this is subject to change.

Yes Deila I think you are correct. I believe it has just now become available. It will cost x amount of dollars and I think itsa full "pick up and plop down" thingy as opposed to a transfer. As for copying on to TCI sympathize with youof TC, if its worth having its worth doing. (Lei wonders if there could be another server we could all copy to maybe call it Entboogigedownparty. Of by the way thats Shyriiwook

If the EQ transfer service is any guide, here is how SOE has handled it in the past on their flagship product.:
Initially, they allowed character transfers from EQ server to EQ server without items. Thats correct, you could only do it if you were willing to loose everything material (items, money , weapons etc.) you had. It was a $50 USD charge to boot. Your toon would, however make the move with all skills intact. People would show up on their new server in newbie clothes with their high level abilites. It winds up being an odd sight. Bascially they were trying to discourage transfers for the same sort of reasons stated above. New items and an influx of higher level persons entering a server/economy.
Next, they loosened the restriction somewhat ant allowed transfers of everything to a special "premium service" server called Stormhammer. Stormhammer was supposed to be a sort of 'Super EQ service' that costs $40 USD/month rather than EQ's normal $12 USD/month. Stormhammer was supposed to have tons of in game actor events and whatnot.
Finally, they loosed up completely and allowed the $50 dollar with items transfer to any server. I think IIRC the only restriction left was it was forbidden to transfer from a PvP to a non-PvP server or vice versa. However, my memory could be failing me on this point.
Eventually EQ also offered a name change service as well. You could pay a fee and get a new first name for your character. All name changes (including Old Name - New Name) are listed on the EQlive website to keep people with poor reputations from simply changing their name and hiding out, as it were.
Now you know more than you wanted to...

Here's a tip for you Liti, since I created a to on on Bria just last week:
Do as many of the new entertainer questsas you can, the ones that the droid gives you. Not only will you get some money and some XP, but one of the prizes I got was a one way ticket voucher from anywhere to anywhere. I used mine to get to Naboo, and the cash I earned to travel to Veritas! ![]()
Once you're there, I'll do what I can to help you with clothes. I'm sure Lei and Kirah will beat me to it though. They're so FAST! ![]()
Can't wait to meet you
