Yeah, about that....when was the last time you looked for a cantina on your map? 
Even as an entertainer, I didn't get alot of use out of that. Vendor registration is descriptive. Why can't entertainer registrationhave the same functionality?

If you ask me (yeah i know, noone did 
), then the Medical Droids are too strong.
They allow you to heal outside a medcenter AND they heal for 10% more.
There is no reason at all to be in a medcenter.
Make some changes to the droid:
- Obviously you can't change the "outside" part, it would totally negate the droid
- leave everything the same but cap "Medical Effecitvenes" (or what its called) at 90%. Then you can buff/heal/etc. everywhere but it has an advantage to go to the medcenter. Currently existing med-droids with 110% rating get replaced by 90% ones (to prevent an unfair advantage over new docs).
- leave it as it is, but increase healing times with a droid by the factor 3 or 5.
Perhaps to keep the "status-quo" of buffs (which get revamped anyway, so not sure if thats worth it ) you can use the droid inside the Medcenter and get both advantages (if they get you 90% effectiveness, inside a medcenter they will give you 110%. If they reduce the speed, inside the medcenter they will heal at normal speed.)
With limitations like that, I would like to see our Effect droids being used as something simular.

Yep, I too would like to see some standardization, though naturally that is dependent on our future roles in the game. Should we no longer be (even pseudo) healers, but have some other fun and interactive role, then the point becomes moot. Should the healer role be bolstered, then equal access and freedoms, or equal restrictions, should be in place.

I resent that, though unfortunately it's often true. Oh how I wish things would change.
As for adding a droid functionality for entertainers outside the cantina...it seems like a little overkill for me. I mean, street entertainers generally don't use much - maybe a sign, a boombox, some cardboard, etc. I think it would be nice if other kinds of objects provided the ability to facilitate wound and battle fatigue healing, like an amplifier for instruments, some kind of visual (besides a droid), a visible or invisible "stage" area, or certain pets (what is that goofy lookin' rainbow simian?).
Just a few comments from the peanut gallery.
