*sigh* Next time I attempt to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed person, will someone PLEASE stop me? It's so frustrating.

By the way were'nt you just on a thread bitchin' about this change and how it could of been handled better then just nurf it??

Uhhh, no. Because I don't view it as a nerf. I think this is the best thing to happen to the entertainer professions in a LONG time. But thanks for playing.

My view isI never been against entertainersI ve had both mine since game launch as well as my other account and play....yes I actually play on my dancer/musician. My whole point is theres a bigger picture here this nurf does affect everyone no matter what style of play.

If they would of not taken the easy way out and just nurf, they could of made it so that an ATK buffs were some % better then and AFK... giving the ATK a huge advantage vs AFK, But not killing the option if an ATK is not around therefore both sides are happy.

Now thats something I would of loved to see but as always the devs take the easy way out and rather swing the nurfbat rather then actually work on amore innovative solution, that will keep every paying player happy.

Thank you for making a calm post. Maybe I can chill out now too.

I think they're still working on how to implement this. The fact is, the AFK buffbots are absolutely killing our profession. Yes, they're convenient, but for people who actively play an entertainer profession, they're a death knell. But the fact that TH did ask us for input on how this will affect us indicates that while they've made the decision to yank recursive macros from the game, they are going to try and do it in the most nonintrusive way possible. That is to say, they want this to be a fix for the entertainer professions, not a nerf for the rest.

Basically, we'll just have to wait and see.

So really, unless you are prevented from calling a macro or calling a toolbar slot, then all this change will do is make it only slightly more trouble to do.

For the record, that IS EXACTLY what they will be doing.

I just finished making a combat macro that didn't work worth a hoot. Go figure...

I have a few questions I would like to pose that I did not see answers for under the FAQ:

First off, does anyone have a good combat macro they would like to share?

Second: Is it a good idea to have a seperate macro for both PvE and PvP combat?

Third: Is it good practice to run a heal self macro with a combat macro simultaniously or would it be better to write a single macro that does both?

Thank you for your time,

what type of macro you looking for? there are a ton of macro possibilities out there, all depends on what you want to do and how much time you have.

If you need a rifleman specific one, i'm sure someone either has one, or i can spend some time ironing it all out for ya. Just let me know what you want the macro to do and i will see what i can do

What I am looking for is a good combat macro for a rifleman. I'm thinking that it might be wise to have a seperate macro for both PvP and PvE butthe one I am most interested in is the PvE. If you have any suggestions please let me know. I have been watching my cool down and warm up times and they all seem to be pretty close but if you know of a specific order that does max damage quickly I'm definatly interested in what you have to offer.

for good damage, try this combo

/prone

/cover

/snipershot

/snare or /root if you have one

/headshot

/ranged shot

/headshot

By this time, and believe me, in PvP, if you get smuggler, this can be a killer combo with concussion and panic shot, the creature should be near dead. I imagine if you do this at max range, you probably will be able to kill it before it gets within striking distance. Just plug in the /pause 5 in the appropiate places and you should do just fine. I will test this out here in a bit and post if it does work or not on similar combat lvl creatures
