Oh-Orb, I'm not saying you are incorrect. In fact, I believe you. I never thought they'd bother to fix the dance before shipping it live. But we don't have a valid complaint until we have proof that the new dance has glitches.
Once a dancer posts that it is true (and it's corroborated by at least one other dancer), we can all hurl things at SOE. Not until then.
I'm sure some folks are busy doing the quests today and we'll hear soon enough.

I only mastered Dancer a week or so ago and I haven't really heard anything about the new entertainer quest. Could someone maybe clarify what it is and how it is done for me? (I feel like a total noob even though I'm not haha)

Yep, I just heard from another reliable source that the dance is indeed broken, too. . . .
