I have 4 seperate chat window up at all times. I have my sptial, guild, auction etc tabs grouped together, then combat and system messages are in a seperate group, then seperate windows for tells and group chat. This allows me to keep an eye on my system messages while holding a converstion in spatial... and to be able to check tells and group chat as needed.
