I'd hope that at some point this whole thing could evolve to where loot that enhances our game could actually become something obtainable by us, as opposed to items that others obtain and hold hostage until we're outbid by a buffbot owner.

Yep, that might be one way to approach it, but I'd think it all depends on how the loot tables are organized. For example, if SEAs drop at whatever rate, and then there's a random roll for what skill mods appear on that SEA based on all available mods (which is a pretty likely bet), then increasing the odds of just a few of those skill mod frequencies (such as Dancing Mind Enhancement)wouldn't necessarily be as small a thing as we might think.
Nevertheless, what I have in mind would also take some coding time, but handles things in a very different way. And one thatI think is much more beneficial to entertainer players.
Who knows if anyone in devdom is interested in adopting any of my proposal schemes, but that's not going to stop me from pitching. If we don't ask, we may not get, right?

Well, Esh... you know that you're one of the two other people that I've told about my coming novelette idea.
Yes, I'll get it out of my head and posted soon. I just need the right moment to become inspired to organize the thoughts.

I have an idea that's been kicking around in my mind for entertainer-related loot drops that I think would be even better than increased drops. It's a part of my next novelette in my proposal-type series, following in the footsteps of the latest idea for quest mechanics reform, as I called it. Stay tuned.

I may have to poll the community again very soon to see what else we might be able to get while the getting's good!
See if you can get Both Dancers and Musicians the ability to buff all Three mind stats.....
I don't know about you.. but its always seemed... stupid to me.. that Doctors can buff six stats.. with just one profession.. and yet an entertainer to be really viable has to master 2 professions just to buff 3 stats...

Trust me, it is easy to understand how Doc's can buff all from the standpoint of the training they have to do, It is very tedious and requires a lot of math and lot and lots of money and resources that do not just fall into their laps. At least dancer is fun while you are doing it and not as mind crunching by any means. Having a character that is a Doc and another that is a dancer, I readily saw the difference. Also, Docs have to master 2 professions to get where they are as well. I do agree that dancer should be able to affect all three mind stats though since Doc's do not cover that at all. But then there are 2 ways to look at this as well, If we could do the mind stats all the way, then what would we need chefs for? I guess it all balances out in the end.

I dunno, I think even if Dancer/Musicians could do both stats people would still need chefs...
I know people who won't hunt unless they have musician buffs and food/drink too.. I dont think it would hurt chefs much

Yep, entertainer buffs stack with chef foods/drinks. I don't think that would be as much of an issue.
