Ive read the pvp thread and thats all well, but Im not very much into pvp. However, I would really like going on outings as a dancer. I am nearly master dancer, and Ive picked up medic in which I am going medic 0440 for speed and med use. I also plan on mastering scout and get the best ranger camps for style

With this template, would I be usefull in pve? Id love to hear from others on this, perhaps from others who have tried this template.

PvE, means fighting creatures?

you dont have any fighting skills tho, (or do you mean to group and help others?)

Most of my templates have been like that... get used to being neglected when with stangers and new people, hehe. Friends, guildmates, people you group with a lot will love you though. For some reason, new people seem to assume you are a leveling Doc and there for XP. *shrug* Just try to shake it off if that happens.

If your group is not buffed, you will be running around a ton stimming while in a fight. Between lairs, have a camp to drop ready at every point and be ready to dance, but don't get upset if they don't want to stop.

I personally would recommend Medic 4-4-0-0, but other than that, yeah, that's a really fun PvE Dancer template.

If you are serious about killing animals as a dancer get a template like TK/Dancer or Rifle/Dancer andadd in some medic or scout.

You know, I wasn't sure if I should say this since I lean way heavy towards Ent/Scout/Med myself, but this is a sort of "weird" template.

You won't be very independent this way... the only real way for a Dancer (or any Ent) to have any solo options is to pick up Combat or Crafting. I myself am gung-ho support class with a twist, so this kind of template suits me pretty well. I'm usually around people that know and like me so I'm ok with something pretty quirky.

I was once a CH/Dancer... then I was a BE/Dancer... I don't ever really like to be with out medic or scout, but I am sometimes (right now actually on SS)... I often don't mind being with out Combat or Crafting, but I am psycho Social. So, yeah, Niza is right on for over all game content and income... if you are a weirdo like me, you might like it anyway.

My bank is always a lot healthier if I am doing combat because I will go out on my own... I am a pretty stinky crafter so that's never really worked out for me. So there you go, full warning at Niza's nudging.

I should, with a little luck, Master TK tomorrow. Its nice to get out and stretch your legs every once in awhile, plus every cantina needs a bouncer . I also have a goodly amount of Medic left from my doctoring days. All but crafting atm. I really hate being chained to the crafting station. I just wish I had enough sp for a little scout. Did you ever notice wounded nasties always run away . . uphill!

Thus one of the reasons I'm not willing to give up my last few boxes of scout! I'll have to be content with Master Dancer/Master Medic/TK Novice since I can't always besure thatI'll have a gunslinger with me when I hunt. Besides, Ienjoy harvesting creature resources - its a total waste as far as I'm concernedif I can't do something with the creature I just offed . . . (can you tell I'm not a hunter in RL?)

Got that right! And be prepared to lose a few, no matter how hard you try - you can't rez as a medic, you know. A few weeks ago, shortly before I made master medic, I was with a group of guildmates who were attacking an albatross peko-peko. I was early into TK and totally useless to them except for medic. While I was chasing down a couple of the guys on one side of the field, Roho died on the other. He was okay with it, but I was devastated. I almost gave up medic right then and there because of it, but I figured I'm still more useful with medic than without it . . . .

Thanks for the great feedback I hope this can inspire others to follow this template, as it has further inspired me!

And of course, if one doesnt have scout skills, then I would end up PAYING to go dance and heal ppl - so even though I think dancing is cool, its not THAT cool I just forgot to mention it in my first post that Ive also picked up novice scout so Ill be able to harvest. That way Ill be self sufficiant, eventhough it alone wont make me rich.

So for now, all I can say is that Im gonna try this out for real. Good luck to all dancers out there!

Well actually I didnt forget to mention it (its late here - I can hardly make up my mind ) as I said Im going to get the best ranger camps as a part of this template. Ranger skills of course require master scout first.

Yup, very useful. If you are able to pick up a bit of ranger and get that scan thing, you will be able to find the badies without having to return to town to pick up more missions. You may find that novice medic, bio engineered clothing, a REALLY good med supplier and a few skill tapes are a better option then dropping the sp into medic.Either way, it seems you would be a great addition to a PvE hunt. You would have all the abilities to keep your group out in the field almost indefinitely. Eventually BF would catch up to you and you'd have to either plant a house to pull it off or head back to town.

I'd suggest hooking up with some folks who are looking to camp some of the cool lootables (Nightsisters, dark jedi, jantas, ect.)

I have some more questions:

Since we can not heal mind DAMAGE (only wounds) how can a dancer be usefull after buffing? I mean, buffing takes only so long, and when its done, it lasts for hours. What can a dancer do in the mean while?
I suppose that a dancer will be less of use in a rancor group simply because mind wounds in those groups simply doesnt occour that much.

As a follow up question to this, what groups value a dancer more in PVE? You say nightsisters - I suppose as a currently non-guilded dancer, I wont be seeing ppl shouting "lf nightsister group" around every corner?
