Hi.../blush...I usually don't post of game boards of any sort, but, erm...^_^
I just wanted to say that I appreciate and fully support ATK or live ents of all sorts, being the big cantina bum I am, I find it's not so fun slacking off in a cantina without an ent to chat with, to /watch and/or /listen to as I go on about little nothings at random...sorry if I may have bored any of you with my aimless chatter >_<
I've noticed this AFK-enting trend as of late growing somewhat bigger...erm, somewhat >_< and I'm actually becoming vocal about it when I can, almost passionate about it (I may have almost started a cantina brawl about it once or twice, I can't be too sure...though how else have I gotten those buises...O_o), since in all seriousness, most if not all of my friends are ents of one kind or another...when I first started, the only people I knew were ents.
Whenever I'm in a cantina nowadays, I always go to the live ents, even if I don't start up a conversation, I sit there and bask in the light of their liveliness and throw them as many heals and/or credits as I can before I'm off again...though being the cantina bum I am, credits are hard to come by sometimes >_< but I still pull out what I can when I can...(starships are so expensive T_T)...and never do I leave without expressing my thanks, though I might forget in a rush...sorry if I haven't always rememebered T_T my memory ain't the greatest thing...so "thank you" now for being the ent(s) I've been an audience for....
I don't know if I'm making any sense here, hope I'm not confusing or hurting anyone's head at the moment, sorry if I am >_<.
Anyway, what I'm basically saying is....thank the stars for live ents, you all have always made my day and keep it up, may the stars light you all a path greater than the one you all walk now through the land of the undead...literally ^_^ (reference to AFK-ents)
Heheh...erm, maybe that wasn't quite as funny as I thought....oh well ^_^
Also...heya, Deila
congrats on the position you've made
/party..../lateparty ^_^
Later, everyone ^_^

You will rarely hear any complaints about customers wanting to aimlessly chat with us.

We're entertainers. We're used to not making sense

I'm sure he'd love to help test out Ca-R...
Seriously, Mik's a real sweetie. I met him in the Eisley cantina when he was in his first day or two in the game, and he immediately stood out because he was spending all of his time developing his skills as a cantina bum, sitting for hours stimming the awake entertainers and chatting away. He'd get up and run off to buy or make more stims, then come back and keep healing the live performers.
Thanks for stopping by the boards and saying hello, Mik. It's always nice to hear from the 'other' side of things here - those who really do appreciate and love the role that entertainers play in SWG, beyond just the way mechanics integrate us. It's this very appreciation of our social presence, and what that brings to an MMO, that I wish could somehowbe more the focus of our professions over justthe game mechanics involved.

What about giving Mik one of those super-rare "...has mastered the Cantina-bum proefssion" badges?
:Takes out cardboard and duct-tape and starts working on something that looks almost, but not quite, entirely unlike a badge.

Thank you...I just wanted to say that, I've been meaning to after reading through the forums about enting and seeing what everyone here is asking and dealing with out-of-game as well as in-game about enting.
The non-combat profs, especially the ent profs, really really need attention....I have heard that an update is on the way for ents*after* the combat upgrade....we can only hope as to what it brings, eh?

wow a truly awesome post..why can't we have more people like this on shadowfire? Although we do get the rare few that are just awesome like that. Its one of the many reasons I like many other entertainers I know there shy away from public performing. The kicker for me was having someone demand a buff from me and then pitch a fit when I told him it would cost 5k for it =( thats not too much to ask for a buff..at least I don't believe it is. But enough about that just felt the need to send a /cheer Mik's way and say there should be more like him out there. Makes me miss the old days when cnet cantina wasn't full of afk zombie performs.
