Has anyone got some looping macros (not buffing macros just dacing macros) for Popular 2, Poplock 2 (I don't think this one has drift, Poplock 1 dosen't) and Lyrical that can prevent drift?

I would make some of my own, but I am currently haveing computer problems and don't get a FPS above 2 for hte most part. and with an FPS that low.. I look like im a flipbook when I move.. Ugh...

I made a looping macro that made me stop every few minutes with an 8 sec pause before restarting... I'm not really sure how well this works though. I plan to test it a whole lot more after we're out of these betas. I can only handle so much testing.

I am working on one for tumble2, if i ever get it polished (so many distractions!). I will happily share it.

Problem with drift free macros is, that they might seem drift free to you and another sees you drifting.

Also the delays are influenced greatly by lag. If a pause of 8.2 is enough one time to flawlessly get the next flourish started, the next time you might need 8.4 or 8.5 even, otherwise the new flourish won't start since you're still animating your first one.
Or its just 7.9 and you're doing 0.3 seconds basedance (and with Tumble that can mean a lot drifting)

Right, that's why I'm thinking a self stop will be better.

I have very similar problems at times because I share a network with my husband. If he's downloading something from the web my Ping rate will shoot through the roof and sometimes my FPS will fluctuate rapidly between 2 and 20. It's very hard to know what the heck anyone else sees if they are watching me when this happens. I have pauses worked out for lyrical2 but I'll have to look them up so will add them in with an edit later today. Do you have theatrical2? I have pauses for that dance that work well for me and I'll gladly share them. Just keep in mind that unless you have someone confirm they see what you see, you'll just have to hope that what you see is an accurate reflection of what others see.

The best you can do is time your flourishes to the nearest half-second or so (you have to do them a bunch of times and take the average, and it really needs to be done by YOU since everyone, as has been said above, gets slightly different amounts of lag). Then you set up your macro so each flourish comes just as the previous one ends. Since flourishes always return you to the same spot on the floor where they started, you can prevent drift reasonably well by doing this. It's not easy, and sometimes you still need to correct manually by dumping the macro and waiting for the toon to drift over a particular spot.

Now, how that looks to other people, I cannot say, since I can only see what I am doing, and not what other people see.

You shouldn't drift in popular, poplock, basic, or rhythmic normally either. If you are... something else is going on. I've never drifted anywhere with those dances.

I've had drift with popular2 before as well... although perhaps I'm the only one who saw it. Although I agree the solution is to time it yourself, I also know how hard and frustrating that can be. Half way through my count (and yes I have to do it manually) someone sends me a tell or something else happens and I forget if I was on 12 or 14.. very frustrating. So when I get my times written on paper I'll post them. They might not be the same for you but it's a lot easier to tweak numbers than start from scratch.

No Popular 2 has a drift, usually to the back.
I think its mainly Flourish 1 and 2 that do that, I have the impression they don't return you to the original point but a bit behind it.

To Chessak's post:
well yes, thats what I meant above. You can come close, but this 0.3 seconds basedance can be horrible drift with the wrong dance.
Tumble 2 manages to shoot you through the entire cantina in 2 seconds, so after 0.3 you could stand quite a few meters from where the audience sees you.

For me it is flo 2 on Popular2..whenmy avatarmoves forward in the last half of the flo it doesn't return her to the starting point.

I have had a few amusing conversations when dancing in a group (using bandflos)about exactly where we are on the dance floor and how close together we see each other!
