To put it short, I think this is the best thing that has happened to the entertainer peofessions!

Last night, I stood in the cantina, and for the first time since the beginning of the holocron wars I was in a great band!

No more tip spamming, no more buffbots, no more everyone playing a different song to grind out the most XP the fastest... All that were left were the ones that just loved to play and dance!

Exept me... I was the only one that had the reources so I got to sit out and make everyone propspart of the nightlol, but that's ok though because it was just SO MUCH FUN! And everyone was so greatfull so it was no bother at all!

The props are GREAT! One interresting thig is that being that y level is 80 from Master Lightsaber, people kept asking me if I could duel wield the swords in combat, which was kinda fun!

The new dance Bunduki 1 and 2 are VERY nice! Kinda like a cross between a hungarian dance and a martial arts kata. I STILL WANTA BELLYDANCE DANGIT!!

Will AFK grinding go away completely, never. YES I afk grind dancer. Dammit this is the umteenth time I've gone through it so I feel I'm entitled.

Are we neccesary to the other professions? No. But people still come in for those wonderfull XP buffs!

Do I get as many tips as I used to? Hells no, so there is a downside lol.

Overall, I have to say I had more FUN as a dancer last night than I have had since the first few months of the game.

Thankyou publish 20!

I agree, I've never been an entertainer to heal/buff anybody, I enjoy it for the sake of ENTERTAINING. I like the changes that have been made.

Dang thing must be broken again... Or is there ACTUALLY a posative post about Pub20 in the dancer forum?!

About time I was starting to get descouraged about the dancer community, what with all the complaining and nothing else. (Well, except for Panthu's birthday thread...)Did SWG finally break our spirits? Apparently so, but I'm happy now!

I had the best entertainer party ever today, I think this update was the best thing that could possably happen to us, we get something we asked for, a new dance, and for some reason I'm getting tipped alot and the AFKers are really thinning out! Probably just got lucky today and it has nothing to do with the update, but I love my sparklers! And I in no way miss BF

First thing we did was get everyone of our PA a double sparkler, then put on a show on the roof of a PA hall. Coordianted Bunduki 2, lyrical 2, formal - a sight to be seen. "Best Patch Ever" was heard.

The way I see it, there are 3 basic types of entertainers.

- those who only wish to dance/play music and could care less about the rest of their servers and/or game in general. I call them the Greta Garbo type, because of their “I just want to be left alone …. “ flare.

- Those who wish to dance/play music and be part of the overall game/community with an actual purpose/contribution.

- And those who use their characters as an overpriced screensaver = afk zombies.

Now, is there a way for Devs to satisfy all 3 groups? Most likely not. Publish 20 was the best thing ever for the first group, didn’t effect the 3rd group and totally freeled the 2nd one.

Only the needs of first two groups are important to me and I could care less about the zombie group, since their style is borderline of cheating therefore deserves no respect, it’s basically a cheap way to the top.

I’m very happy for the first group being content, it means at least part of the entertainment community is happy and I see that as very important. However I belong to the second group, the dance and toys are very nice but I want more, I want true purpose in the overall game! Being an eye-candy bimbo is not my idea of fun and unless I change my views and switch sides to group 1 (which is very unlikely) that is exactly what Publish20 reduced me to.

Instead of faulting us for not being happy with the current situation and telling us to grow-up it would be lot more constructive to understand our needs also. Or lets just all agree to disagree

i love the new dance , i think its the nicest one yet, though iam also waiting for a new exotic. and i do like the props . However we are still completely useless , and unable to make a living since people can just watch unconsented to get buffed. the cover charge is useless unless everyone does it . I still believe they have savaged the entertainers . and if my dancer continues to be useless i may give up her account . i would hate to do that

Hi there...

It's quite easy, actually. When a group of entertainers are syncronized, as in doing the same flourishes at the same time, one person in the group is doing what is called a bandflourish.

For example, /bandflourish 1, /bandflourish 8 etc.

These can be macro'd just like regular flourishes.

As for the pub 20 changes, I'm having a blast!

I know about bandflourishes... I was wondering how everyone gets started and stops in perfect time. Or is that done with bandFlo as well?

Dancers all start with the same base dance, no flourishes. Then the troupe leader can start with the /bandflos and whee! Synched dancing.

/g 3;/pause 2;/g 2;/pause 2;/g 1;/pause 2;/g go

name it countdown.

have whoever is in charge of coreography type the following

/g type /startdanceBasic and hit enter when i say go.

then run the macro. it starts the dance loop so that everyone is doing the steps in perfect synchronization.

you can use the countdown macro for costume changes/light effects ect.

Save your breath. You'll need it later to blow up your date.
