I have gone all the way up to lv 4 and about to become a master, and all I need to do is gain enough apprentace points to get there, but there ain't enough people who would like to learn, what should I do, is there a faster way to do this, and dont say cantina because I've already tried that.

I wish I could answer this.. But truth is I can't.. See, neither myself, nor anyone I know, has been wanting for apprentice points. I'[ve finally mastered entertainer, and still have enough points for Dancer when I get there, and I'm not even close.

My experience is the same as Tiaga has mentioned. I've been capped on Apprentice XP for a long time now and have never heard of any fellow entertainers going lacking. I've always thought that as a social class that tends to perform best in groups, we have an advantage of logistics when it comes to training and to Apprentice XP, as we generally always have a lot of others of our own profession around us who both need to teach and to learn. Afraid what you describe is really outside of my experience. Dancing/Playing music in a group setting where there are lots of others who will need to learn from you is the best advice I can give. And let the band know that you are in need of Apprentice XP. Be polite and don't expect to get exclusive rights, but generally if someone needs the XP and makes it known, there are a lot of us who don't need it who will let them do the teaching whenever possible. I always try to let people who are not capped teach, before I step in to do so myself. (And will, until I start needing the XP again.)

You just need to actually dance in a cantina with a group. There is always someone who needs training.

Curious, did you AFK macro most of the time?

I was capped on app very early however with other characters I've found a few good hints.

Train and skill up in a few useless skills survey is a great one as are the scouting skills if you don't intend to be a scout.

Find an artisian buddy (not a master artisian)or a hunting buddy with tons of scout exp being wasted. Ask them to release their skills so that you can retrain them. Most artisians cap survey experience very quickly early and there is nothing to use that skill on after survey 4. Many elite professionals artisians will also have unused general crafting experience being wasted. Or you and another performer buddy up and train novice medic, stim packs are very useful to performers but the organic chemistry skills gained from making stim a's are worthless to us.

I agree - that is very odd that you can't gain apprentice xp unless you are an AFKMer or you perform where there are barely any other entertainers all the time.

It is insanely easy to get apprentice points. Just dance at the public cantinas - there is ALWAYS someone wanting to be trained. I capped out on mine fairly early. I suggest going to a really crowded cantina and dancing for a few hours. You'll be full of apprentice xp in no time.

I was maxed in apprentice points before I became a Novice Dancer, I see no reason why anyone would have difficulty getting them unless one of two things occured:

1) You are on a remote planet where there is very low population, (my suggestion would be to move /shrug)

2) AFK was above your head 99% of the time.

If you guys say its easy then I must be doing something wrong then, most of the time Im not away from the keyboard (AFK). Maybe I should put up somekind of advertisment on the SWG Board, that should help

I have abot 1050 apprentice points atm. All I did was stay in the Theed Cantina and when ever someone asked for training I jumped on it. The Theed Cantina on Flurry seems to have about 25+ people in it at any given time.

I have had more success doing training in the small cantina on Keren. The problem with larger places is that entertainers are nice people and when someone asks for training it is a race to see who stops first to do it. Go to a smaller place and you will be the only one there to train people.

Ha, that had not occurred to me before. All those afk dancers out there are going to be begging for apprentice points once they get up towards the top of the dancing food chain. I myself am only a novice dancer, and I have been capped for some time already.... You just have to be kind to others. I recieved nearly all my training from other generous performers, so I felt it was my place to continue the sharing.

Anon, I may be wrong but I saw your post on Ahazi board and you were charging for training, thats probably mistake number one.

When you join a group /g to the members that you need app and would be happy to teach anyone.

Personally, I too have been maxed out on apprentice points for quite some time. My problem wasn't finding people to teach, it was finding people to teach me! The only answer I might have is perhaps other dancers jumped on the teaching opportunities, or you've just had the worst luck.. This is the first time I've ever heard of an entertainer having apprentice point trouble. In our cantina, those of us maxed out only teach if no-one else is available; that way we can spread the experience around.
