Do special effects do anything while dancing. /spotlight /dazzle or are they just a waste of action points.

They are only for show. I wouldn't call them a waste of action points, I use them when performing all the time to enhance my ability to entertainer. But, if you mean from a leveling standpoint, then yes, they have no xp benefit or buffing benefit to them. They are merely tools to help us entertain better.

It was nice to see the first time, but really it does nothing much other than use your action points and add to lagg in overcrowded areas
Would like to seem them used in possible new entertainer missions where you would have to preform these moves and flourishes in certain sequences to complete the mission. That would be nice.

I like to use the cloud of smoke when I am changing clothes or recovering from a fall. Another use for special effects: If you are helping someone earn healing experience off of you while you dance, burn special effects while unbuffed.

They are a lot like real special effects. When ovedr used they are dull and a waste of action points. When used at the right time they are very flatterign and can draw a lot of tips. Think of them like punctuation in a sentance, not the not to be over used, but a great thing to have.

Are they a waste of action points? No because you can do /smoke and under the smoke screen bail on another one of your bogus auctions.

Hi,
concerning /smokebomb:
Do you know, you can still use the lesser effects:
/smokebomb 1
/smokebomb 2
/smokebomb 3
so more actionpoints to waste
regards

I do notice a healing XP spike after I use one. I think the answer to the question requires further testing.

Thank you so much for posting this! I never knew you could do it. I tested with the other effects and it works for those too, I've been wanting to be able to do it for ages.
