So, I take it no one but you is allowed to A) join the entertainer group, B) be a master dancer unless they go off and dance in the corner where no one will see them, C) have a pet in the cantina (I agree that it's rude to bring big pets in, but to /denyservice immediately when CHs often forget they have a big pet in follow mode is a bit triggerhappy), D) have or talk to friends while in the cantina, E) wear the skimpy outfits that the dev team provided us, and F)talkin a manner that mightget people totip them. I don't understand what you're talking about in the greeting patrons paragraph. Are you saying that you don't want to bother, or that it should be someone else's job, or what?

Opiniated is fine, and I don't really mean to flame you, but you come across as kind of a jerk in this post. If you want to get wads of tips and be seen, the Coronet cantina is not the best place to be anyway. And implying that master dancers shouldn't ask to join the group you're in is just shooting yourself in the foot since your xp raises when the group gets larger.

Greeting patrons. If she's dancing out of the way, to free up the center section for less experienced dancers, and a patron moves to an opposite side of the floor, she won't holler out a greeting across the room. She wants the dancers over there to have the opportunity to chat the customer up.

Master dancers are great! But why not save the prime real estate--the center section--for the less experienced dancers?

Of course we have friends, people whose company we prefer. But it can get clique-ish to the point where others feel they're intruding or not welcome. This happened to a char of mine on another server: ventured into the Cantina and the few entertainers were so wrapped up in their own clique that nobody bothered to send out a greeting. Feels a little unwelcoming, you know?

My dancer, opinionated little snip that she is, has the following things to say:

1. She hates it when high-level dancers come in, plop themselves in the middle of the floor right in front of the steps, and start spamming for invites. Move your flesh-wrapped lard a** out of the middle and let the noobs, or at least the less-advanced, have the prime spots!! She's getting up there, so she always moves to one side of the floor.

2. She loves small furry pets but if you're going to bring your humongo whatever-it-is into the Cantina you'd better not park the thing between her and the entrance. You're keeping patrons from seeing her and thus depriving her of experience and tips. /denyservice tard_with_a_huge_pet01

3. Cliques. Make some more friends other than just dancer-x musician-y bounty hunter-z. Don't overdo the kissyface either. Be welcoming and not making the 15 year olds want to sit at their computers groping at themselves in the area covered neither by clothing nor by their mom's group insurance policy.

4. Some of you size-8's need to look in the mirror and devote some thought to covering up some of that bobo cheese.

4. Greeting patrons. Okay. She likes to see all patrons receive a greeting, but she's not in front of the steps. If someone comes in and moves to the opposite side of the floor, she won't greet them--that would be stealing the thunder of the dancers on that side of the floor. If someone moves to her side, she'll chat them up. Or if they're standing at the entrance with no clear destination and nobody's greeted them, she'll chirp up.

5. About the whining for tips thing that appeared in another thread. Now being gabby, she'll chat with her girlfriends about the kind of day she's been having and how her clothing fetish is cutting into her savings. Sometimes this is done in spatial, but it's RP, not whining--although there can be a whiny tone to it. From time to time these sorts of discussions have (unwittingly) resulted in tips rolling in, but such is not the intent.

Some points that should be mentioned:

- Every player is allowed to wear whatever the gameengine provides. And if he or she want to look sexy, it's his/her right.

- Clique or not, some people know each other better than others do. It's like in real life, you go into a disco find friends and talk to them and dont try to get into chit chat with everybody else in the disco. The entertainers are not forced to talk to visitors neither are visitors forced to tip (or am I wrong at this point?).

- Master Dancer most likely dance Exotic, which does not take much place. Where the dancer is standing is depending on several things and not only on "look at me, I'm a master dancer". Every master performer needed a lot of time to put into their training and you now demand that they should go somewhere into the corner? That's more than selfish.

- Your demands are quite personal.

Good grief, I just dropped Master Dancer to pick up ID but if I had walked into a cantina and stood where I wanted and had you ask me to move aside. I would have told you to pick a cheek and kiss it.. Master dancers work JUST as hard as anyone else and have just as much right to stand where they please as you do.

You would have saved yourself a lot of trouble by just summing your post as "Everyone stay out of my spotlight"

Opinionated little snip of a Master Dancer that I am...

1. I busted my butt to make Master. I'll be damned if I'm going to the back of the bus. I have as much right to be up front to greet my customers without have to search over the clot of LAMERs in the middle of the dance floor.

2. I agree with the pets. If the cantina is crowded, please leave the pets outside or on your datapad.

3. I agree with the groping and licking. Get a room. If you wouldn't do it in front of your mother, don't do it in the cantina. Cliques happen, it's the nature of a social game.

4a. If I want to wear a costume that the Goddess gave me the ability to wear, I'll wear it. I've earned the right to wear a fleshwrap and I look damned good doing exotic 3 and 4 in it. Frankly, I'd rather wear something else and leave the fleshwraps for special occasions. I am a size 6 and make no apologies for it.

4b. I'll greet and carry on a conversation with whomever I choose. For all you know, they might be a regular of mine. If someone else near them starts up a conversation with them, then I back off as to not 'steal their thunder'.

5. I find it crass to discuss tips in public. I use group chat or tells if I'm feeling that the subject needs discussion. In a similar note, I loathe tip droids or people with macros spamming for tips and heals. If that gets me less tips, so be it.

Personally, I don't care who dances where... I just ask that they be THERE. I hate talking to myself in a group of 15 afk dancers..

"Master dancers are great! But why not save the prime real estate--the center section--for the less experienced dancers?"

To me this doesn't make much sense. I suppose from the standpoint of "experienced player helping the new guys" (and Ihave no problem with that), that would make sense, but I'm a roleplayer and from a RP or "reality" viewpoint, that's totally backward.

How many shows have you seen where the lead Dancers or singers, musicians, whatever, are standing at the back while the kids fresh out of Performing Arts College are stood there centre stage? None, as far as I'm aware. Did Nureyev (excuse the spelling) dance at the side obscured by the stage curtains? Nope.

From a pure RP viewpoint: my character is a Male Dancer, and having spent a lot of time busting his a$$ (AT the keyboard) learning his trade as a lesser light, he has now made Master and takes the centre stage. He has a huge ego andis brimming with self-confidence (you need to be as a Male Dancer with 1 in 10 male chars coming along accusing you of being gay), and thinks he is the greatest thing since sliced bread!! :-)

He will always take the best spot that's available and that doesnt tread on other dancers toes (I'mnever so rude as to tell someone else to move). He has a number of ego-boosting Intros anduses all the flashes a complete Dance Techniques tree will allow.

But he's not rude or arrogant to other performers(just completely transfixed in the belief all women love him, and so far evidence has failed to prove otherwise!), and will always train anyless experienceddancer, and dance with them too - I always found having a master dancer dancing with me when I was learning a buzz and motivated me.

But now, he thinks he's the star attraction, and why not? He has lots of fans both on and off the stage, and I get plenty of /tells asking me to join their group in a cantina. As long as the less-experienced dancers are in the group theywill get the same xp anyhow.

When he performs, people watch him, and all the female dancerswant to dance with him. So,feel free tofollow your Coronettiqutte as you will, but standing in the corner and having his talent overlooked is not my characters style. He spent long enough in the wings, now it's his time to SHINE

K'vera raises an eyebrow curiously as she passes through. She slowly makes her way to Nynna and smiles warmly at her before whispering in her ear, "So that'sYand is it? Is he all he is cracked up to be?" K'vera peers over the shoulders before her and studies the man's fluid movements smiling to herself.
