will we ever see any of them again?
Personally, i miss the "wave" and a few other of the fun crowd pleaser flourishes.
The "wave" was escpecially a good one to get the audience involved in, since everyone can type /wave.
I am wondering if we will ever see them implemented into new dances or if they are gone forever.
Does anyone know?
just curious

ya know, i have to agree. as much as i do like a lot of the new flourishes, i find myself missing some of the old ones, especially from poplock. the new ones in grapestomp (er, footloose) don't get me going very much, but then, nothing about grapestomp ever did. i'd like the ones in lyrical more, if i actually danced lyrical, broken dances don't get danced too often (except formal, just for flourish 2, thats good stuff). but, i don't think we're going to see those old flourishes again. and thats sad. well, maybe we'll get them back someday in a mutant form of the dances, and maybe someday we'll get 8 distinct flourishes for each of the exotics.

I was told gone forever and not to ask about them, heh... but I'm sure they still exist in some form and could perhaps be brought out again at a later date. Maybe after our revamp we could ask about them again.

Here's an off-the-wall idea....how about asking about turning them into emotes? After all, the viewable version of the lyrical2 base dance is the /dance emote...perhaps we can have a few more /dance emotes added?

That is why the old videos with the old flourishes are good to hang onto... rare glimpses into the past and eventually if they are shown in the distant future, people will be like, "Are those new flos?" The us old timers can say, "Those are old flos from the before time, in a galaxy far far away."

But I loved the old Poplock Flourish 5... where you wave at the end. I used to use it to "wave" to customers as they walked in. And it looked sooooo hilarious when 3 or 4 dancers did it in unison.
Oh well...

Hehe, that was the one I hated most
Unlike you, I'm so glad it is gone just because of ugly - disguasting appearance when done in leotard...

Just a wild guess, but I'm betting those that like it started after it was put in, those that don't started before.
Personally I always cringed at the poplock flos 5-8 when someone did it in a bandflourish or I hit the wrong key. I was also playing before they were added in.

I dunno, I'm of the type that likes to have more more more, so to me it doesn't matter if something was added before or after I started playing, I still like to have the variety. Each flo has its place, even if it's hand-animated. The wave, in particular, was a wave, and thus a fun tool to use
I like the new flos, cause they're more flos! I just don't want to completely lose the old flos

I'll buy into that theory since I also couldn't stand those flourishes (and played way before they were put in). I always felt like a puppet doing these.
On a related note, am I the only one who thinks we should develop an "official" flourish version numbering schema? I get confused every single time someone refers to the hand-animated ones as "old flourishes."

Dancing before they were added and loved the wave. Granted..the flo itself was sucky (word for the day) but it was the whole wave thing. Don't ask why it always just made me crack up but it did
