Thread: The Cantina Crawl Guest Director Series!!

I'd like to invite some aspiring directors to try their hand at producing a Cantina Crawl video. I would still produce many of them, but I'd also like to see what others can do with them (like Wendel's recent effort), and occasionally I would like to actually dance and enjoy a crawl. 
Just a few notes...
Cantina Crawls are events. There are no multiple takes, and in general you can't plan shots. You have to shoot the event as it unfolds and hope you're in the right place at the right time to capture what you want. You cannot tell a story, you're merely putting together a reflective vision of what happened, primarily for the enjoyment of the attendees. It's very different from more typical directing and presents its own challenges.
You'd probably need to do it all, from top to bottom. Certainly the event staff (myself, Doasa, etc) would help in any way possible during the event, but since the footage ends up being so large, there is no way to transfer the raw footage so someone else can edit or shoot the principal photography. You'll need to shoot and edit it yourself, unless you're got some SWG friends who live nearby.

Actually, that wasn't the first trilogy. That was the middle.
I'm going to go back and shoot Cantina Crawl 1, 2 & 3 next. But they'll be all digital, and all the entertainers will be strictly CGI...
This is all so familiar somehow...

So all the flirting...that pillow talk...that entire night of passion...that was a MACRO?
(was it a looping macro, cuz if so, you may want to invest in a drinky-drinky bird)
