Now that I've gotten that out of my system... stupid enter key.
I'd brought a brand new Ithorian dancer to Theed to try it out. People were excited about it and wanted to learn the language and joke around. It was fun. Someone asked about clothing... having seen the stuff on the bazaar for Ithorians on that server (not Sunrunner), I noted that it was very cool looking, but sadly overpriced for a new dancer. Most items were 6k each. Wasn't going to be happenin' anytime soon, lemme tell ya.
Long story short, a couple of dancers had tailor alts, and one was actually a tailor. Two of them offered to make clothing free of charge. The dancer/tailor was in the cantina and got to work playing with colors and types of clothing. We had a great time chatting in tells and laughing at some of the clothing.
During this time, a dancer who had a tailor alt was sending the woman who was working with me some rather nasty tells. She said that Theed was HER territory and that SHE had been outfitting all the entertainers there for free since beta. "My" tailor was horrified and told me privately that she thought it best that she not make the clothing.
The "Supplier for All of Theed Since Beta", was pretty damned rude to me and the gal that had been working with me. She sent letters to everyone on her friends list, including me. She ranted about 'ethics' and such... named both 'my' tailor and me in this letter. I decided that this was the most childish behavior I'd ever seen and have no plans to go back to that server.
How DARE this woman claim all of Theed as 'hers'? And how stupid was I to apologize to her for daring to talk to another tailor in 'her' territory... /facepalm. I should have let this idiot have it right between the eyes with BOTH barrels.

It's so sad when Tailors use their skills for evil instead of good.
Really though, I've always noticed that Tailors are much more territorial than other crafters. Ents are like walking billboards for most, so it does make some sense that they fight over giving us freebies. This goes a little far though. O.o

Mentioning names in an email was tasteless, sending nasty messages was rude, claiming the largest city on naboo as her exclusive territory? just plain stupid. Wish you had given her a piece of your mind, and wish your Tailor hadn't been so wishy washy.

I was only willing todrop Tailor on Esharra after I had mastered it on Carenzi (I'm addicted..I know that's the first step in recovery but ain't gonna happen), so I feel I can rightfully say this from the perspective of someone who has played the Tailor profession for 14 months.
WHAT AN ASS!
If I were a witness to that fine example of self-indulgent stupidity, I think I would feel obligated to share the experience with everyone I meet. That would be one tailor who would Never get my business or that of my friends if I could possibly prevent it.

Damn straight - how dare she. That's disgusting (and also incredibly vain) behaviour on her part hun
/hugs Kyree
You just stay on Sunrunner with us!! I tellz ye what - mess with one Sunrunner Dancer, you mess with all of us **nods**
Honestly though, I have a tailor alt and would never dream of treating anyone like that - its a new expansion, people are excited and wanting to try all the new things!! There is nothing wrong with that, and some nasty, small minded, territorialharpie shouldn't make you or that other kind tailor, who was willing to spend the time checking outthe new schematics with you, make youfeel guilty. You guys did nothing except have fun, and if Madam gets offended or feels her business is threatened because of it, that's her problem.
Besides, who wants to buy hawtpants from a grouch anyway?

If another tailor ever did that to me, I'd set up shop in "their town" and make free clothing for everyone until they cried.
Geez.
Geez.
