Roho and I would like to invite everyone to a Farewell Bash at Bishops' Sanctuary, Veritas, Naboo, Bria thisMonday night (7/25) from approximately 7pm to 10pm Eastern. I'm calling it a "Bring Your Own Props" party, because . . . . well, we don't have any! If you don't have a character on Bria consider rolling one up for the evening - then you can stay for CC XX!

We know there will be sorrow, but just remember - we loved Galaxies (and still do) and all of you are the reasons why. Let's make it a blowout of a party before sendingRoho and Kirah off into the Rebel Protection System!

============================================

My friends,

This wasn't an easy decision, but the time had come and gone to say goodbye to Kirah. Considering she was a creation of a fanfic for me who's world was changed completed from the idea I had for her by the friends she made there - and I made there, also. I'm not going away.I will be in Gypsy and on Second Life.

I will miss Kirah. I'm not sure I could go back to writing my fanfic of her as Luke's love now that she found someone else who's heart fits against hers as perfectly as Roho. I consider myself very fortunate to not only have made so many friends like all of you through Galaxies, but to have found a dearest of friends like Roho. And if I say any more I won't be able to see the screen . . .

Not goodbye so much as see you around.

The following is from Roho. He is experiencing "technical" difficulties in posting right now.

There are many here who will remember me and it was with very heavy heart that I finally cancelled my station account. I haven't been in any of the Sony games, EQII or SWG, in far too long. I can't justify continuing to pay Sony for games I just don't play.

I wanted you guys to know that this means the end of Roho in all his incarnations. Wow that was painful to type. I've been playing role playing games for about 2/3 of my life and I've never played a character that so affected my life. It has brought me friends from the far corners of the world. I don't think that I can fully explain what all you guys meant to me in SWG and the other games that I've played (and will continue to play).

Thank you all for being who you are.

Goodbye.

Kirah dear,

I will miss you very much. You and the others on Bria so long ago are what helped me find hope, at a time when I did not have much for myself in this game. So many of us are gone now, or separated. However, it always is hard whenI see someone so instrumental to my happiness and experiences here go on to different pursuits. I must admit though, that I had never had such a close, inspiring, and dedicated group of players than the time I had in that Spring and Summer of 2004. And you, Kirah, were a most important part of it. At least to me.

It has been a hard and trying time. It is difficult to make sense of what we are in the midst of right now. Sometimes, we argue with such conviction for the things we believe, and it can leave a bitter taste. It has taken its toll too, on both of us, it seems.

Take care, my good friend. I wish you much happiness in future pursuits.

*hugs* I'll come see you in SL soon! Make sure you still have all of my contact info, if not I'll message you on the gypsy forum. Thanks for being so great when I was still corring for us, you always knew how to cheer me up if I got too stressed.

Send Roho hugs from me too!

It's not often a post will bring tears to my eyes, but these two goodbye messages have done it. I hit reply so many minutes ago and yet its still hard to type.

Kirah: You are one of the greatest women it has been my privilage to befriend in Galaxies. I've known you since 2003, all the way back when you were in the guild "oowwooooooo." We met in the Drunken Tusken, Mos Elsewhere where you were dancing with some of your friends...Javier, Shianse, I think Kitsuney and T!t'ania (darn forum won't let me spell her name properly...) were there too. Sartinius made introductions and we all got into party mode. So many of my in-game friendships have developed from the introductions that day. I'm so glad to have gotten the opportunity to know you.

Roho: I don't remember when we first met, but my favorite memory of you is when Doasa invited several of us to help entertain at an Epsilon Trooper ceremony...being Rebels in the midst of all those stormtroopers seemed pretty dangerous, and you were quick to jump in and defend Kirah. Out of all the times we performed together, I think that was my favorite--even counting all those Cantina Crawls we went to. Then of course there was "Chopper Roho" on Javy's show. Heh that was fun to listen to, even if I did only catch the tail end of the program. And who could forget your rendition of "The Gambler" adapted for Galaxies?

The two of you have been great company here in Galaxies and I'll miss that a lot, but I look forward to being able to continue our friendship on the Gypsy site and beyond.

May the all luck and love life has to offer follow both of you, wherever you go.
