So, what goes best with Dancer right now for single account holders and why?

I'll make the obvious statement.
Master Musician/Entertainer/ID
Why?
To be a GRAND MASTER ENTERTAINER!!! HUZZAH!
Heck, the only reason I have an alt is to make clothes for The Kreetles. So really, she doesn't do much but do completely matching outfits when we have gigs.

I'm pretty happy with my current template (in sig). The ID helps with changing my look for different dances, and the pistoleer lets me be able to go shoot at stuff if I get bored in the cantina. Which is rare, but nonetheless...

Pre-CU I was a master dancer since a month or so after I started in December 03, adding master carbine soon after. That left me a good amount of play as to what to spend the rest of the points on. Often I would Master ID or master marksman or entertainer, depending on my mood andplaystyle at the moment. Post-CU the cold hard reality seemed to me was that you needed to be a CL 80 or miss out on a lot of content thatyou could have previously have handled. Giving up my dance mastery was the hardest thing i have done in game to date but i am having fun still dancing as a 0/0/2/1 [i think] Dancer, 1/0/4/4 entertainer, 0/4/4/4 marksman, master carbineer and master pistoleer.

pre-CU I loved being Master Dancer + Master Creature Handler.
I don't know how well that would work now... pets might not do enough damage.
I gave in and bought an alt account a while back and made her Smuggler/CH and picked up music and FS skills on Dori...... but to be honest I do miss dancing with my pets.
I suck at being a musician so I'll eventually get jedi skills and drop more music (I'm at 4/0/4/4 now) but keep as much as possible for songs and instruments.

I have two paths I take when making a new dancer (or musician).
1) Dancer - I want a character that can be in the cantina as much as possible and be the absolute best dancer possible. Leaving the cantina for any reason is a waste of the character's time. So basically I take a skill set that maximizes the abilities of the character.
Master Entertainer
Master Dancer
Master Musician
Master ID
or if I want to be able to do my own hair and outfits
Master Entertainer
Master Dancer (or musician)
Master Tailor
ID 4/0/0/0
2) Adventurer who can also dance - I want a character that can be of some use to group in combat and still do every dance possible.
Master Dancer
Master Entertainer
Teras Kasi Master
Combat Prowess 0/0/0/4
TKM lets you be an effective combat player without needing a weapon or armour which as a dancer means that you won't need to dedicate yourself to grinding combat missions for money to pay for the armour and weapons and can use that time for better things to do like dancing.

Unfortunately because of CU and CL's, I have no choice, and there is only one option since I refuse to give SOE more of my money at this point.
I don't know the exact template, but something like Ihareo's comes to mind. Master Dancer, and Master of a Jedi profession so you can still participate in combat and entertainer content.

My favorite mixed templates that I have played have been; Dancer and combat - Master Dancer, Master Fencer, 4000 TK, Dancer and non-combat - Master Dancer, Master Entertainer, Master Tailor. I played the dancer/fencer until a few weeks after the CU went live and it was very good in groups and still fun to play. Currently though, my two combat characters are all combat and my six master dancers are all entertainer professions.

Grand Master Entertainer
I'm a bad one to ask as I have no desire for combat in SWG.

I have Master Dancer, Master ID and 0441 in Carbineer. I was the quad entertainer, but I just really felt like I was missing out on alot of the other content in the game so I respeced to my current template. I have to say I'm happy with it.

Well obviously it will depend upon play style... With that stipulation, I still enjoy Master Dancer/Master Rifles (with the rest spread into medic and scout) That puts me at CL 54 and in a group I can handle myself fairly well, though I've not been to the Corvette nor DWB since the CU.
