I finished the quest this morning, paid my 400K experience and yes, the base dance is still broken like lyrical, lyrical2, formal, and formal2. You have been warned.

Thanks Electro. No big surprise there. And they left the 400k exp price tag in, eh?

This ought to be fun. Nice job SOE. Like we really expected anything else?

You know, if we were to get a reward worth playing for, I might have taken time away from my Droid Engineer training to do this quest. It's too bad I'm not far enough into Musician to bank that 400K xp (I'm only at MK1. I thought they saidit only required Novice ). If I could get something from this...anything from this....I'd be ingame and trying to fly through the quest as quickly as possible. Twice! I would absolutely love to have new content. But we didn't get it Instead we got another Formal, Formal2, Lyrical, Lyrical2....they're all the same, really.

But look on the bright side. You'll see new spam in the cantinas!

"Plz watch me dance so I can complete my quest! Thx!"

I haven't finished the quest yet...but I'm thrilled to get something for us. One way to make the broken base part of the listed dances is to do straight flourishes...as soon as one ends start the next one. I for one will take what I can get...I personally think its better than nothing at all. Plus I think working up to getting the new dance is kinda fun and unique. Just my two-cents.

Not likely - how many dancers will want to get a broken dance that they don't have to perform like the others?

I don't. I don't care for the dance/flos as it stands. I don't think it's attractive and it takes you all over the dance floor.

I'm not finishing the quest. To hell with it . . . .

Sure.. we can do that. We can work around the broken part of the dance so that it kind of looks like something. We work around Lyrical and Formal all the time that way, right? Well, I'm tired of having to work around just to let other people see what I'm seeing. I've been a Master Dancer for a year now. In a year, we've gotten Player Cantinas, mind buffs, a last minute throw in of rewards in FS skills, and now the new dance.

Of all those things, the only thing so far that I've really gotten use out of is my player cantina. I rarely get mind buffs, and I rarely give them. Rav actually was the probably the third person I've ever received a mind buff from in my entire time playing this game, and that was in a just in case it was needed scenario. I quit giving mind buffs because of increasinly rude patrons and buffbots. The FS rewards are a joke, especially if you have a BE clothing. Having been a Master Tailor for several months in game, I made myself plenty of that so I really don't have a problem with healing people. Not to mention that I'm also a Twi'lek. I also abhor the idea of having to give up my professions of choice just to be able to get the skills. Now they give us a new dance where we once again have to work around a broken base dance. That's not acceptable in my book, and I'm really tired of this crap.

Sorry to sound all negative in that reply Karana. I know you mean well! I (like many others) am just tired of this kind of stuff. Plus, I've not seen the base dance yet. I have no idea how well it will look even if you time your flourishes to go off one after another. It's likely this will be yet another dance that I just play around with when I get bored.

And to this, I humbly butcher a quote from a good movie.

"You're so concerned with squabbling for the scraps from SOE's table that you've missed your God-given right to something better."

We deserve better. We deserve to have our first content addition in more than a year, and probably our last for a long while, to be something that is worthwhile, exciting, fun and operational. We shouldn't have to string flourishes togather to cover up for a bug in the game. I'm trying hard not to come down on you for what you said, but quite honestly, where's your pride? Are you really satisfied with the effort they put in here?

Personally, I'd like to see every dancer come out and refuse to do the quest. Will it do any good? I won't insult anyone's intelligence by thinking it will . . . but it would be a statement of some sort, I suppose.

Right now I feel as though SOE holds us in so little esteemthat they didn't even have the thoughtfullness to post about the quest going live or at least allow our corrs to tell us in the first place. Then to let it go live with a broken reward is a backhanded slap to our faces.

I can't miss the opertunity to reply to this with another movie quote.

"deserves got nothing to do with it."

Sadly this is exactly whatI expected to happen... In the back of your mind you kind of hope that it won't even though you know that it will.

I want to complete the quest, purely so i can see the dance for myself, broken or not.

however i just failed at stage 3

No idea what i was really supposed to do,

I just changed dance every 2 flourishes, and the audience was left [neutral] and i failed. (was guessing two flourishes per dance due to what was involved in audition)

I completely understand where everyone is coming from Rayill. I've been a dancer for over a year..like several of you in here. I'm not saying that no one else loves dancing b/c I know that is the furthest thing from the truth in here ..but I know for me...I love dancing and will do everything I can "not" to let broken base dances ruin my gameplay as a dancer. I'm definately a more passive person and can never seem to take one side or the other in any given situation. I like being in the middle more than not b/c I try to always see the good and bad in every situation.

I know it stinks that we have a ton of broken base dances and crappy repeat flourishes....but it seems no one in any profession get what they really want reguardless of their pleas. From what I have read and heard about the new dance I really didn't excpect the broken base dance to get fixed before going live. But I still can't wait (24hrs /sigh hehe) to try again and get it. But I am happy that entertainers got atleast something..broke or not we got some attention...and that can be a start to hopefully better things.

I don't wanna get flamed (hides :smileytongue for being happy for the new dance and for getting the smallest bit of attention in a game that bows to jedi and combatants. I just try to see both sides.

I'm not doing it. For pretty much those reasons.
