Thread: Character transfers now available

Yet you need to delete your character to "make room" for the new one...how does that work...
Just looks to me like if you, say, have a character on Ahazi that you want to move to Bria, but you already have a character on Bria occupying your account's character slot, you'd have to get rid of the old one on Bria to make room for the one you wanted to move from Ahazi.
Seems pretty clear that they're making it so it's not just a way to get multiple character slots all over the place. Without this, I could for example create a character on Bria to move to Ahazi to hang out with Deila. Now that the character is no longer on Bria after the transfer, and I had 2 characters on Ahazi, I could make another character on Bria (since I no longer have one there), and rinse and repeat. ![]()
Of course, rather than saying you only get one character per server, I wonder if they could just say that everyone gets maybe 3 character slots totaland you put them where you like. All on one server, spread out over three different servers, your choice. Wonder if that would cause problems... you know that most people would just load up all three characters on one server.
We return you now to your regularly scheduled immersion.
Also, if I were to move servers it would be because I had friends or associates waiting to welcome me on the new server. I'm sure they would love to help me get on my feet financially.
For a casual play like myself, were I looking to move servers, I'd be tempted to pay the $30. I'm sure some people will take advantage of this.
In items, there's some significant differences in the resources that spawned on each server. For example the resources to make some weapons on Bria aren't as good as the ones on Chilastra, IIRC. So, transfering items from the lucky server to the unlucky one is going to give a big advantage because of the better guns the player would bring with them.
